Tough trek in, but worth it. Great view, excellent swimming and wading. Only humans we saw for five days were on anchored cruisers in the bay. Do It.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront Cottage. Fully secluded with stunning views, all the necessities, and essentially your own cove to enjoy on Eleuthera. Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone interested

Magical stay! Bring water shoes, snorkel gear and a sense of adventure because this place will not disappoint. Host was close by and very responsive. Perfect place for a rest from the crazy world we live in.

The cottage is an absolute gem. Indoor/outdoor living in paradise! Amazing views from the bed and balcony! Had everything we needed. Petagay was quick to respond to messages. Wish we had stayed longer!

This was the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. The whole process from booking, to arriving and staying everything was so easy. Upon arrival we found the place to be amazing. The pictures do not show the true beauty. Everything you could need was at the location even the smallest of details were thought of. Our host was very responsive, kind and went the extra mile to make sure our stay special. My husband and I did not want to leave this piece of heaven.

Cons- A frog jumped on my husband when he was sleeping.- We had a large roach in our room. - We came across two snakes on the walking path.- Our electricity went out one night making it difficult to sleep.- The path to the cabin from the car is a bit challenging, especially with luggage. (I would never recommend this place to anyone with even slight mobility issues!)- We got reprimanded for having our son and his girlfriend over for a swim in the ocean one afternoon. (We were not being loud or unruly.)Pros- The view is spectacular! - The private cove is what dreams are made of.

Thank you for your helpful feed back. The electricity went out because you somehow managed to use a large amount of power - as the photovoltaic system is quite adequate normally. This is a remote and peaceful property and the house rules are very clear about no more than two persons. Unfortunately having your family over was disruptive enough that my only neighbor complained about the noise. If you would ever like to return to the island, I would be glad to recommend more family orientated rentals in the area.

There are no words for how incredible this property was or just how much we enjoyed our time there. It exceeded our expectations in every way, it was so beautiful each morning when we woke up that we felt we had to be dreaming! Each morning and evening we visited with sea turtles that swam at the shore like clockwork, we kayaked, paddleboarded, snorkeled, and made great use of the French press. Petagay could not have been a more gracious or helpful host. My best friend and I are the kind of travelers who are usually ready to leave at the end of our trip but neither of us wanted to leave Skylarking. We can’t wait to go back.

The perfect retreat for couples

What a wonderful property that is as secluded as you could ever hope for, very lovely and with a private bay, only with the occasional boat that drops anchor. Just make sure you get an SUV to make it up the gravel hill, glad we saw the reviews with that recommendation.

Wonderful vacation!

Wow what an awesome off the grid getaway! Secluded home with an unbelievable view and private ocean cove. Sea turtle sightings every day, snorkeling with gorgeous reef fish and floating away in the timeless gorgeous water. Sunsets are stunning and the house had everything we needed. It’s a great place, loved every minute!

Private Bohemian Escape

Already booked a second stay! The beauty of this location is unbelievable. Everything we needed was available. We cooked all of our meals in the home. The outside shower was just the right added touch!

Our stay here was absolutely incredible! If you’re looking for the best way to experience Eleuthera, this is it. The private cove, scenic balcony, outdoor shower, paddleboards, and kayak made this one of our favorite and most romantic vacations ever. We saw so many amazing fish and sea turtles snorkeling every day, and every sunset in the cove was more breathtaking than the last. The house was spotless, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed for the perfect island escape. The host was so kind and communicative, and we honestly can’t wait to come back! Having a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for the road that leads to the property.
