About this property

Waterfront with spectacular view, close to restaurants and bars

Imagine yourself with a glass of wine, sitting on our front porch (we call it our Tuscan veranda), watching a breathtaking sunset over Monroe Bay. Unobstructed water view, located on "The Point", recently renovated with cook's kitchen, 2 beds, 2 full baths, sleeping up to 5 guests. Beaches a short 3 block scenic walk. Bring your bikes or rent a golfcart. A variety of restaurants/bars located within blocks. Wifi included. Ample parking for cars and trailers. When we have guests in the house we occupy our RV at the rear of our 17,000 square foot property. Nothing is shared between us and our guests including amenities. Guests are closer to next door neighbors than they are to us.

Lovely Front Porch

My family and I had a great time during our stay here. William was quick to respond to any questions we had, and the house was clean and comfortable. The complimentary coffee and snacks were nice and we absolutely loved sitting on the front porch where we could enjoy the view of the water. Would definitely stay here again!

Cozy and Beautiful Home

Home is beautifully decorated and has everything needed for your stay. Enjoy sitting on the front porch and watching the gorgeous sunsets over Monroe Bay. Definitely recommend renting a golf cart to explore the community. A great place to relax. Our hosts, William and Sharon, are very friendly and accommodating to make sure everything is going well. Highly recommend! Plan to go back next year.

The house was very nice and the front porch was a very nice place to sit and enjoy the water and harbor views. The rooms were large and well furnished. The main ptoblem we had with the home was that the owners lived in the back yard in a camper. Most of the kitchen cabinets were wire tied shut and all the closets were locked shut. The price was good but we didn't feel like we rented the home for it's full use but just a place to stay. The owner was responsive to our request to fix the toilet.

We had a great time at this beautiful home. We were there last year and loved it so much that we returned this year. The view of Monroe Bay is absolutely spectacular. We especially enjoyed watching the sunsets. We look forwarding to visiting again!

Best Retreat Ever!

“Sunsets & Mermaids” was aptly named and the best quiet retreat ever. Beautifully appointed, clean and stocked with everything you would want or need in a vacation home away from home. The owner was so accommodating and helpful. I’d stay here again and again.
