This property seemed very new, was exceptionally clean, and very nicely minimally decorated. The location is lovely. It has a big deck to sit out on, plus a seating area around a fire pit right near the water. Beautifully peaceful and wonderful views. It's pet friendly and our noise averse dog loved it and all the walks he had around their land.It is only about 3 miles drive from Colonial Beach itself and there are a few strip malls before that, including Food Lion for groceries and a Walgreens. As for restaurants we loved Sunshine, not on the beach but has a lovely shady gazebo and the food is outstanding. Also beachside we enjoyed High Tides on the Potomac and Riverboat on the Potomac whose deck is right over the water.Initially there were a few problems with contacting the host and glitches with systems for which we were compensated but after that the host was in contact each day to see if we needed anything and was easy to contact if we couldn't find anything. When I had a few suggestions at the end of our stay, the host took them on board. We would definitely visit again.
