Placed on an acre at the quiet dead-end of a long road, you will spend time watching the water birds, swimming, sneaking peaks at the early evening deer as they cross the river. This cabin is right on the water, with a slip for your kayaks or paddle boards. Find your way around the Friess Lake/Oconomowoc River watershed area, hike on the near by Ice Age Trail, or even closer, Glacier Hills County Park, where wild mushrooms thrive. Paddle across the big lake to Copper Dock, for a nice dinner. Enjoy the extraordinary fall colors in the area. Hike to the top of the Holy Hill Basilica. Take in a local art fair. Or just sit on the dock over the water soaking in the unique landscape, in the midst of Wisconsin's famous Kettle and Moraine topography. In the winter, Friess Lake is a well-loved ice fishing destination known for 40 inch pike. There is no place like it so close to the city, yet so private and peaceful. Leave work and enjoy a cold beverage by 5:30pm on a week night.
Enjoy the full kitchen, cozy living room, classic pine interior, and sweeping views of the lake from the 2nd floor queen bed.
This is a dog friendly place! We love dogs, and want you to have your trusty friend on vacation with you.
