Why they chose this property
My brother had purchased the property, we were both drawn to the Mahoning Commons neighborhood because it was and is the working artists neighborhood with an industrial edge located less than a mile from downtown. The neighborhood has two theater companies, 3 recording studios, photography and artists studios in multiple buildings throughout the 1 mile long neighborhood.
What makes this property unique
Many things make this property unique. The former city school was built and designed by local African American architect Plimpton Ross Berry in 1877. Berry was a master stone and brick mason, self trained architect that constructed
