This beautiful log home offers a cozy retreat perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. Enjoy scenic views while you hike one of the dozens of nearby trailheads, including those leading to the high lakes of the Eagle Cap Wilderness, or rent a stand-up paddleboard or boat and explore the area's beauty via Wallowa Lake. Other activities close to home include fishing, water skiing, river rafting, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and horseback riding. You're also mere minutes from specialty shops, art galleries, breweries, and distilleries. Local festivals, from dog sled races to rodeos, abound throughout the year.
Spend quality time on your spacious deck with views of the Eagle Cap mountain peaks and the crystal-clear waters of the Wallowa River, directly accessible via the property. A BRAND NEW salt water hot tub was recently added. Sizzle your favorite barbecue recipes on the gas grill, then dine alfresco at the picnic table. In the evenings, watch the stars come out and enjoy the sights of meteor showers - either outdoors or from the skylight in the primary suite.
Inside the two-story home, you'll find plenty of space for your group to unwind. Large windows invite tranquil views and sunlight into the living area. Listen to the soothing sounds of the river while you cozy up with a good book, or put your feet up by the gas fireplace in the cooler months. Radiant floor heating adds comfort to the home. The well-equipped kitchen features everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals. The dining table expands to seat eight comfortably. A desk overlooking the water offers the ideal perch for travelers who need to do some work during their getaway.
