Excellent property - we really enjoyed our week in the villa. The highlight being the amazing pool. Thanks for the great communication that made the whole experience stress free.
Great place. Property has lots of different seating areas and the pool is big. Lovely inside. Clavier is a lovely quiet village. Le Clavier restaurant was our favourite or a quick snack and a glass of wine at Les Chapeliers. Adagio - expensive and as described - over ambitous. Property is pretty central to most of Provence if you don't mind driving. Highly recommended
Our 1st Provencale experience, + it was delightful
We have an amazing time here. It made me reflect on the old TV programme "A Year in Provence", and wish we were spending one here. A ideal blend of quiet idyll and local amenities made for an excellent time.
I can sincerely recommend a stay here.

Thank you Simon, so pleased you enjoyed your holiday
Shhh. Don’t tell anyone but Melanie has a wonderful villa here. So convenient for the village and its restaurants and yet close to some wonderful experiences. Don’t miss the Whaipering Angel folks
We had the most fabulous stay at the villa with our family celebrating my mum's 70th. The villa is lovely and has everything you need for your stay. I actually think it's better in real life than in photos! The air con was strong and a great addition as it was really hot when we were there. There was air con in every room which I was glad about with 2 elderly parents and 2 small kids. The pool area had everything you needed - beds, shade, pool toys etc. We had 2 young children so I have to say, the pool gate and pool alarm were AMAZING additions when you have small children who can't yet swim. Being situated close to the village was so useful, if you wanted to wander down there for a drink or dinner in the evening or if you just fancied a change of scenery. It's a very easy and simple walk along a very quiet side road. This is actually one of the main reasons we picked the villa - it's close proximity to a town as we don't like being cooped up. We also used the 2 x bikes and it was so magical cycling into the town one evening with my husband as the sun set and you could see the village overlooking the valley. The town has a few small restaurants, a little play area and a shop. Overall, the stay was amazing and we had an unforgettable trip. Mel and Dirk were great hosts and provide a full pack of information for everything you need. It was the most perfect trip - thank you!
We had a wonderful stay at this villa. It is so much better that the photos. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, peaceful and restful. The owners have clearly taken great care to think about the small details that make this place so comfortable - cushions, baskets for storage etc the pool was wonderful. The views were fantastic. The outdoor area was really lovely. The village is very sweet and the local restaurants are great, including Le Clavero and Le Pizza van (find it on Google maps)! We loved driving to nearby villages for food and a pootle - Bargemon and Callas etc. Nartelle beach was really good for the kids - shallow water and good facilities

Heavenly Bliss
This is the best French villa we have stayed in yet, perfect size for 2 families with young children.
The villa surpassed our expectations, plenty of room and in tranquille surroundings. The villa had all the equipment and facilities that we needed
The villa is 10mins walk down a quite country lane from the village of claviers.
The owners and local contact were very helpful and very easy to contact about our queries.
The swimming pool was superb and a trip to Lac du Cassien for a swim is a must!!
Sitting at night time on the outside terrace looking over the unspoilt countryside, pool lights on, the pizza oven lit, sitting round that big wooden table was heavenly bliss.
Oh how I wish to be back there !!

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay, thank you for your lovely comments.
What a wonderful villa - we liked it so much that on the first night we booked two weeks next year!
The villa is large, very spacious and effectively split across many levels and spaces. With two adults (parents), an adult eldest child and a teenage child, there was space enough for all of us to come together for meals and socialising but also space to sit quietly on our own reading a book or sunbathing. The kitchen was very well equipped with the added bonus of an exterior kitchen with fridge (great for wine and beer - as well as water) BBQ and pizza oven.
Melanie and Dirk were great and responded very quickly to any questions we had. The local village was a pleasant ten minute walk along a very quiet road and had all the essentials (and three very good restaurants).
The villa is well located, but do think about the winding roads with hairpin bends - almost like a ski resort in parts! Great fun but take care.
Highly recommended (unless you want to book the weeks when we do...).

Great house, Great Location
We arrived late on Saturday and thankfully Dave (the owner) had arranged for a welcome pack for us, everything we needed to see us through the night, including a small pack of beers! Thank you Dave.
The following morning we were off exploring the house and garden.
The kids had no problem finding the pool and that was them happy for the two weeks. Thankfully, we could see them in the pool from the terrace, so we could keep an eye on them.
The house was great, very open, airy and clean and there are a couple of very nice villages in the location; Claviers (10 min walk for the morning bread) and Bargemon. Both villages with the usual array of typical French bars, restaurants and shops.
We had a couple of trips out during our stay; to Le Muy (great market and small WWII museum) and Lac du Verdon (pedalos and more swimming).
We've been holidaying in French villas and gites for over 10 years now and this place is up the top of the list for location, presentability, amenities and comfort.
All in all, a fantastic two weeks, in a lovely house, in a lovely location. Would we go back? YES.

Fanstastic villa, beautiful town, gorgeous area
We were lucky enough to stay at Dave and Tracey's spacious villa in late August. Occupying a large, private plot, Villa La Passe has the feel of an upmarket and well provisioned home. Unlike some rentals where the owners clearly look to cut corners, it has a warm feel and everything you will need for a fabulous holiday. The outside kitchen and pizza oven are a real boon and the bathrooms (all four of them, three of which are ensuite) are highly speccd with honey coloured marble and have a spa-like feel. There are a number of terraces which seem to be sunny all day (35C when we visited!), meaning that our party of four adults and three children could happily relax, sunbathe or lark around to our hearts' content without ever feeling we were intruding on each other's space. It is a kilometer's walk into Claviers along a quiet, well it road. The village is very old and picturesque and is surrounded by wonderful views. It has two lovely restaurants, a pizzeria, a small bar, a boulangerie which makes amazing bread and a small convenience store. A number of similarly lovely towns are a short drive away, some with large supermarkets and, for the more adventurous, swimming lakes with a wide range of water sports. Plus, there are a number of lovely vineyards nearby who warmly welcome visitors. All in all, a great find! Gareth P, Cheltenham

Wonderful !
We stayed in Claviers villa one week during new year's day's holidays. There were 9 of us in the party (8 adults + 1 boy 13-years old). Everyone loved the villa !!! There was only a problem with the hot water: probably in winter the hot-water heating has some problem and so it was difficult for us to take shower at the same time. So we decided to take turns, and so hot water was guarantee for everyone. The villa is really wonderful and well kept. It's sorrounded by a wonderful olive tree grove, and so we can imagine how beautiful it could be from april/may till september/october, expecially havin' dinner in the porch facing the swimming-pool and the olive-tree. It's 10 minutes walk from the charming village of Claviers; the villa is actually a little isolated, a little far from a big town, but we considered this an advantage and not a problem, because it was really relaxing for everyone and we could enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the place! So we strongly recommend it to everyone. The owner, mr. Dave, has been very kind with us in every moment and really helpul. We hope to have the chance of staying in the villa in a forthcoming future!

Giorgio, thanks for your comments, I am so glad you loved the villa and had a great time. After talking to you we have had the boiler replaced so now there is hot water for everyone. We hope to see you again soon, you will be welcome back any time.
A beautiful location The quintessential Provençal village of Claviers was genuinely walkable even on a blisteringly hot day.Claviers itself is beautiful and friendly, nice places to eat, the tabac an excellent place to watch the World Cup!The villa was well equipped and we particularly enjoyed eating al fresco, making use of the outside kitchen and barbecue which all made enjoying the wonderful weather even more relaxing.
Wonderful house, high spec throughout with great views and plenty of space.
Particularly liked the outdoor kitchen with pizza oven ( such fun) and excellent BBQ. Easy and pleasant walk into Claviers where there are 2 excellent restaurants and a wine bar, small shop and bakery. Dave and Tracey are excellent communicators and extremely helpful.

À recommander . Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans cette villa , il y a tout ce qu’il faut . Des propriétaires à l’écoute de toute nos demandes.
Merci pour tout
A lovely peaceful location and beautiful part of France.
Another fantastic stay at Dave and Tracy’s beautiful villa. We love the views from the back, overlooking the swimming pool and olive grove out onto the wooded hills. Great lounging and eating area with bbq every night and pizzas from the pizza oven. Just a 5 min walk into Claviers to the bakery and small shop. All you could wish for, oh and the air con when it hits 38 degrees!
We had a very nice and relaxing week in this lovely house. The house is perfect and the surroundings are calm and beautiful. Dave and Tracey were super helpful ahead of the trip and answered our questions throughout our stay very quickly.
A highly recommended Villa for anyone looking for a peaceful holiday and a house which offers everything you need!
Superb villa, quiet, peaceful, has everything you want!
A wonderfully quiet location with super views of the surrounding wooded hills from the terrace. The villa is only a 10 minute walk to the village centre of Claviers (with bakery, small shop and several cafes/restaurants). The pool is clean and well maintained as are the facilities. The built-in BBQ and brick pizza oven within the covered terrace were easily large enough to cater for our group of seven. Three bedrooms are en-suite with the fourth also having it's own bathroom. The air-conditioning in the villa is a real bonus. Owner was very quick to respond to a couple of queries we had and was really helpful. This is just a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing week. Just make sure you deactivate the burglar alarm BEFORE entering the kitchen!
