We enjoyed our stay in the tiny home! It was perfect for driving to Sutton’s Bay, Acadia Dunes and Crystal Mountain. The home is very clean and has everything you need for a relaxing stay.
Good place to stay and close to a variety of activities. Quiet surroundings which is what we wanted. Shawn was easy to work with in booking the property.
We could not be happier with our stay. Shawn was a great communicator, even offering early check in and checking on us by message to ensure we had everything we needed. There was not a single detail missing in this home. It was PERFECT! We will be returning and now i MUST build my own tiny house.
Our stay was great! This tiny house was perfect for our family. It’s a great mix of rustic feel with all the modern amenities you could need. It is spotless and extremely well maintained. It’s in a great location only a few minutes from Crystal Mtn. The owner Shawn is great to work with and has excellent communication. If you’re thinking about it, just book it….You won’t be disappointed!
Cabin was absolutely amazing! Exactly what I was looking for :) cabin was extremely clean with all kinds of amenities available. Will definitely book here again!
This is a great location in Michigan that allows for day trips for hiking and exploring. The accommodations are the perfect balance of rustic and modern. Everything you need is within this tiny house's walls.
Overall this is a beautiful property. The interior was pretty darn immaculate. Hosts are amazing and super responsive. Location is very central and convenient, however the surrounding properties were a bit unexpected. We loved the carefully curated design and amenities that this property offered. We had a tiny bump in our stay but the hosts were responsive and extremely helpful.
Took the family of four up north for a week long vacation, stumbled upon this cabin and fell in love with it. The property was great and located near all the places we like to go, Manistee National Forest, Frankfort, Crystal Lake and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Iron Fish Distillery was close and awsome
We stayed here while skiing at Crystal Mountain and it was perfect for our family of 4. The house was the perfect cozy layout for us. Would definitely recommend if you are skiing at Crystal Mountain and are up for a tiny house experience!
We just love this place!! It is the perfect location for our ski weekends at Crystal Mountain and just the right size for our family. Thank you for letting us share your little slice of heaven!
The Little Woods Cabin exceeded all expectations! Everything from the location to the decor and the amenities needed while in the woods were better than we anticipated. The cabin is located with an easy distance to all that northern Michigan has to offer and the well-equipped (and cute!) cabin was the perfect spot to come back to after a day of adventures. The owner was responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful 4 days and look forward to a return visit soon. Thank You!
Awesome tiny cabin! We were expecting the cabin to be a bit more secluded or tucked deeper on the property from the description. That's the only negative about the place. Otherwise it's an awesome, and very cozy, place. Shawn goes above and beyond to make sure the cabin is stocked with everything you may possibly need. We had a great time, and would definitely stay there again in the future!!
To say this place is adorable is an understatement. We knew we had to stay at this little charmer as soon as we seen it online. My husband and I are always intrigued by little houses and this little cottage did not disappoint. As soon as you approach this black with cedar trim cottage we knew this was a great choice. The inside was small and cozy and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It was clean and had every amenity including a washer and dryer. We could tell this place was loved by the owners as everything outside and inside was taken care of. Even the decor was whimsical and fun. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back if we are ever in the area. Thank you for being so accomodating and welcoming to your Little Wood Lodge.
This was a great little place for 2 people to enjoy a Michigan fall weekend. It was compact, but very comfortable, nicely decorated, good attention to details. We had everything we needed. We used the cabin as a home base, leaving for most of the day to explore everything there was to see in the surrounding area. We did lots of hiking in nearby parks, took the color tour up Route 22, stopping in all the little towns to shop, or eat. We visited the Michigan Sequoias, Point Betsy, Sleeping Bear Dunes, the Frankfort fall festival, and the Iron Fish distillery. The owner, Shawn, was in contact by text, but not intrusive. It was a perfect fall getaway! I would definitely stay here again, maybe next time during the summer.
We arranged with the owner to arrive around 10:30pm. He gave us an entry code, said that was fine and we could arrive anytime. When we tried to enter the property in the evening, there was an apparent malfunction with the door lock so we could not gain entry. We could not reach the owner by phone, text or VRBO. All our phone calls went immediately to his voicemail. The VRBO customer service rep tried many times to contact the owner and could not reach him. The owner finally responded to us at 9:30am THE NEXT MORNING. Fortunately, we found another place to stay, but at 11:30pm at night with a crying daughter. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY FOR ANYONE.
We made a great decision when we decided to give up tent camping and stayed at Little Wood Lodge. Especially when it was 36 degrees when we woke up. The cabin is cozy, modern and comfortable. It is stocked with everything that you need. At first, our teenage girls were not excited to find out that the bunk beds were in the same room as the main bed. Once they crawled in, they found the phone charging plug, little shelf and comfortable bedding. They did not want to get up in the morning. Shawn was available by phone for questions and very helpful. This is a great place and we look forward to staying again in the future.
