Quiet, secluded place to relax. Friendly & accommodating, even helped us get our belonging down to the studio since the driveway was steep. Very responsive to our questions prior to booking. We enjoyed the great views & walking access to the creek on property.
The property was peaceful. It is about 20-30 min off the highway so get there before dark so you can familiarize yourself. You do need a 4X4 to get down the driveway. However, the host is very accommodating. She helped us haul our items down in her 4X4. We walked down to our place of stay. A little steep so wear good shoes. The place itself is like glamping. My husband and I did not mind it. Their dog will come up and check up on you. He is so sweet. Loves his pets and did not bark once. Small fridge enough for snacks or small cooking items. The places runs of solar and propane. Again, glamping. Overall super cute and amazing views of the woods. We got in super late one night and the stars were amazing!!! If you do park up top and walk down make sure you have a charged phone to use your flashlight or bring a flashlight with you. We enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and we felt comfortable. We did bring an extra blanket and I'm glad we did as it did get chilly at night, (it was kicked off eventually) but bringing my own blanket brought me comfort ;) Thank you for your hospitality.
Classy, Well appointed place. Liam was kind, communicative and accommodating.
Gypsy moss gently swayed in the cool morning breeze at this very quiet location. Enjoyed the commanding view from the deck-our dog loved this especially. Starry nights a bonus. It’s back a ways from the highway for good reasons.

Fantastic location, great views, quiet and the hosts were really helpful, nice and friendly, especially the dog! Stanley.
Wish we had a few more nights.
Only thing missing was cooking oil and sugar apart from that, we would return time after time.
This guest house with its lovely view from the deck was the tonic we needed for complete relaxation. Viewing the stars at night was awe inspiring. Sitting by the sunny pond was restful and ideal for viewing butterflies & bees. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. This wonderfully remote spot was a great place from which to explore Southern Humboldt Co.
Sara & Liam are gracious hosts. Very cooperative & responsive. Would definately stay here again.
Would have been nice to know that the property was 30 minutes
off HWY 101! Needs to have a table to eat at instead of a desk and chest of drawers! Bed linens/spread could use an updating!
Along with the kitchen situation! It is nice and peaceful there, but don't expect luxury! Just being honest!
You can’t beat the views. Liam and family are wonderful hosts. You definitely need to plan to arrive before dark, and a 4/4 vehicle is recommended to get there. It is a very remote location. A couple things to note. There is only one bed, so I don’t think it would sleep more than 2. There is also no indoor seating except for a small chair at the desk. Pictures reflect that, but it would be nice to have somewhere to sit other than outside.

Beautiful spot, but…
Cute cabin but grounds have a lot of junk lying about. Def not a high end rental.
Met by a large barking dog that had me too intimidated to get out of the car. It jumped up on my car’s driver and passenger doors to look at us, leaving multiple claw scratches on both doors. Owner came out and called off the dog. We got out and saw the scratches and were shocked. “We said we had a dog” was the owner’s only apology. There was nothing about dogs in her description, though a review said they had a nice dog- that doesn’t mean I should expect and be accepting of a large dog jumping on and damaging my new car.
It was late, after a long drive to get there, and I’m not about to start arguing with our host in the middle of nowhere. No apologies, just an awkward “you knew we had a dog”. If they had kids that ran up and scratched at my car, would that be cool? Zero accountability.
Once inside the cabin, it was clean enough though had the distinct odor of a propane refrigerator. Very sparse accommodations.
The bed was NOT good.
Beautiful views as long as you look away from the nearby house.
I’m an easy traveler and don’t mind rustic. The owner’s attitude towards my damaged car ruined it for me though.
My car needs to go to a professional body shop if I want to get the scratches out. Lame.
