About this property
The Woodhill Hideout - All Season Family Fun
A Premier Family Vacation Home Rental In The Northern Poconos
Nestled in The Hideout, a four-season Gold Star recreation community in Lake Ariel, PA, The Woodhill Hideout is your family's premier vacation home rental. This chalet-style home boasts four spacious bedrooms and three full baths. Due to new township regulations, we only allow 2 guests per bedroom plus an additional 2 (10 total guests). Walking through the doors, you are wowed by the two stories of windows and seasonal views of Roamingwood Lake through the towering trees surrounding the home. The main floor has a fully equipped kitchen to cook a gourmet meal for your family, a dining room with a reclaimed railroad tie table with seating for eight, and a spacious living room to relax, disconnect and chat with the family in front of the fireplace. The main floor has two bedrooms (King & Queen) with TVs and a full bath. Off the dining room, you will find the top deck with four comfortable rocking chairs, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and the beautiful view and the music of mother nature.
The home's second level has a loft with a sleeper sofa and a landing station desk that makes you feel like you have an office in a treehouse. You will also find the spacious master bedroom with an ensuite and walk-in closet with a sitting chair. As you move down to the lower level, this is where the fun begins. We recommend you enjoy the outdoors, but if the weather does not permit, watch a movie or a game on the big 65-inch smart tv, challenge your family to a foosball game, or play one of our two classic arcade games for tons of old-school fun. Reconnect with your childhood and show your kids how you grew up with our vintage Atari. The lower level also has a 4th bedroom with bunk beds (Full size & Single) and another full bathroom.
The fun doesn't stop here; walk out the double sliding doors, and you are on one of the largest single-level decks in The Hideout. This massive deck has a covered outdoor kitchen with a sink, charcoal grill, ceiling fan, heater, and wood-burning oven. Picture yourself grilling with your family, enjoying a cold beer, and a few rounds of hook and ring toss. The deck also has an eight-seater dining table with an umbrella, a propane fire pit surrounded by 6 Big Easy Chairs, and a lounge area that twinkles from the Edison bulb lights hanging from the trees. If that is not enough, we even have cornhole for those competitive family members or some yoga mats to clear your mind and strengthen your body.
The Woodhill Hideout in Lake Ariel, PA, is our family vacation home, and we look forward to sharing it with you and your family to make lasting memories.

About the host
Hosted by Nicole Trapanese

The Spicciatie family owns the Woodhill Hideout. We purchased the home as a place to gather together throughout the year - a space for creating new memories, relaxing with one another, and trying new things.
Marie enjoys sipping coffee on the deck or sitting by the fireplace with the family. Laura and Johan love to explore boutique shops, antique stores, and local markets. Jayme and Brian both appreciate the water activities like paddle boarding and fishing.
Ultimately, we always make it a point to meet for dinners, laughing and sharing our adventures.

Why they chose this property
The Spicciaties have family and friends who purchased vacation homes in the Hideout Complex and often spent holidays and weekend getaways on Roamingwood Lake - fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming.
The amenities at the Hideout offer something for everyone - Recreational Sports Complex, Golf Course, Indoor/Outdoor Tennis, Power Boat Lake, Two Sand Beaches, Two Heated Outdoor Pools, Physical Fitness Center, Mini Golf, Art Center, Woodworkers Building, Ski Lift and Lodge, Tubing Run.
We just couldn't pass up purchasing at the Hideout and sharing these amenities with other families who would rent our home.

What makes this property unique
The Woodhill Hideout was quite unassuming when we first walked up the driveway.
We were welcomed by the charming pine mudroom when we opened the front door. Upon entering the second door of the home, you can't help but marvel at the splendor of the forest view from the two stories of windows. It feels like you're very own state-of-the-art treehouse!
Every season is different - the summertime brings the deep tree-green hues and shades the entire lower deck. Fall foliage brings a rainbow of colors, and the weather is still comfortable for using the outdoor kitchen. Come winter, the trees are all bare with caps of snow, and the frozen Roamingwood Lake can be seen from any of the back windows while sitting by the fireplace.
One of our favorite spaces is coffee in the mornings on the top deck or gathering in the afternoon in the living room for laughs and relaxation. The kids love the basement, arcade space, foosball, and large screen tv.
While outdoors, enjoy the outdoor kitchen from Spring to Fall equipt with a wood-burning built-in fireplace, charcoal grill, and sink. In addition, enjoy the overhead fan or heater, depending on the season. At night, roast marshmallows on the gas firepit for ease and convenience with the kids.
