Tyler's Texas Rose, a beautiful 2BR/1BA house with back yard
Tyler’s Texas Rose is located in the historical Azalea district of Tyler. This quiet neighborhood is minutes from the hospitals, downtown, TJC, Bergfeld Park, excellent restaurants, and entertainment. The home was renovated in 2022 and hopefully has anything you would want in a home away from home. The screened in back porch is an excellent place to enjoy your morning coffee, while overlooking the fenced in back yard. You will have 8 steps from the porch, down to the yard, where there is a grill, and a grilling area with a 6 place table. There are Smart TV's in the bedrooms and in the living room for your viewing pleasure.

A charming older home, not the lap of luxury, but quite worth the price. The neighborhood is not great, but it was quiet. The house seemed clean and the beds comfortable. The furniture is quaint and pleasing. There are a few small improvements that could be made that I see in other reviews. We have family in Tyler and visit often, and would enjoy staying here again.
My college roommates and I stayed here for our first time living together in 20 years. The accommodations were great to reminisce and have new memories for our other roommate's wedding. We just wish the weather was better so we could have enjoyed the yard and porch.
The house was cute with a big yard. The master bed was uncomfortable. Adding a bed topper would help a lot as we didn’t sleep well. The street was very narrow with a lot of cars, but there is driveway parking which was great.
I always have expectations of places I stay, based on the listing. In thus case, my expectations were not only met, but exceeded. This is a charming place to stay, with comfortable beds and lovely furnishings. Very clean.
Overall a very good stay.
Some issues that need attention:
1:oil door hinges
2.clean ceiling vents
3.lighting in bathroom was poor, couldn’t see to put on makeup
4.really need a shelf in bathroom to hold toiletries
5. Living room lamps are dim, three way bulbs would be nice, it was hard to read
Your home was very nice and comfortable, I hope to stay again😊
House was only superficially cleaned. Floors and baseboards and all vents were gross. Mildew on walls and ceiling in bathroom. Bathroom shower does NOT put out more than 2 cups of water at a time barely trickling out of the showerhead, directly down with NO pressure. You have to physically get into the shower to turn it on and adjust the water, which I wouldn't complain about if you at least got a decent shower. That was the worst. The two beds were fine, but the pull out with trundle was awful, plastic crunchy mattress covers under pilled scratchy sheet and something that was not a bed covering. Pillows so old and dilapidated and stained I had to go buy some along with a blanket. Cobwebs throughout, huge battle with a roach in the bathroom. Spiders throughout. Steps to backyard are steep and dangerous having no railing on one side. Curtains not wide enough to cover front windows to block light. Just one thing on top of another. For the price it would have been okay if not for the shower situation and the gross air vents. AC was cold, fridge was clean, dishes clean. It's a cute place but not maintained for continual use and definitely no comfort features like pillows blankets, or can opener that works, sharp knife, or more than two rolls of one ply toilet paper.
We thought it was a cute property and fit our needs pretty well. Only suggestion would be to add a slip guard or alternative for the bathtubs as they were quite slick.
