Everything and more than we expected while visiting the island. The beds were all super comfy and we found the rest of the house to suit our needs 100%. Working with Colleen was easy and effortless. Thank you for sharing this property with us!!
We rented the cabin for the 4th to be with family. The kitchen was well stocked for all our needs for cooking meals. We checked out everything on the island and Rock Island. Great location.
Colleen was great to work with. Beautiful place. So convenient to ferry landing and shops and restaurants. Beds were very comfortable and Colleen went above and beyond to make sure we had anything we needed while we were there for a family gathering for my moms birthday. I highly recommend!!!
Our family loves Washington island and this was by for the cleanest and most comfortable place we have stayed at to date. Colleen was very helpful when we had technical issues booking and is a great host. Highly recommend.

We were very happy with this property and the host. The property locates just off the ferry, super convenient. It is clean, has big kitchen and dining, plenty of bathrooms. There are a lot of games, and bbq/firepit but we didn’t use them. Colleen the host basically replied the next minute every time I asked any question. Will book again if we go up next time!
Cedar Point was a great place to stay with everything we needed. Plenty of room for a large family and the beds were new and super comfortable. Colleen was great to work with and very responsive. Highly recommended!

We were impressed by the renovations made to this older property. The owners have equiped it like they are residing in it.
Lots of room, ideal for extended family or friends on a special island.

Thank you for your kind words Jeff, please be our guest anytime!
We had a wonderful stay here. The location is perfect for the island, great food across the street, and just off the ferry! The yard was perfect for our pups! Plenty of space and very cozy while we were staying in! Very quick responses from owner! Overall we are very happy! Thank you!!!
Thought the house was very spacious! Nice kitchen and comfy living area. Large master bedroom! Love it had three showers for nine people! Extra bedrooms small but we didn’t need much space to sleep as we were out exploring most of the time! Nice fire pit outside. Host was especially nice! Prompt with answering questions and went above and beyond!! Thanks Colleen!
We had a great stay!! It was near the ferry line, which was great as well as a couple of restaurants and a nice shop. We loved the island and everything it offered!! The VRBO had great space for 6 adults, a 15yo and a 1 year old, plus 2 dogs. Colleen was so helpful, to the point of offering to cook or bake for us the first night because the stove wasn’t working properly!! We were planning on going out and it wasn’t necessary, but very generous. The range was replaced the next day! She communicated so well and gave tips about where to eat and things to do on the island. I highly recommend staying here. The ONLY downside was no air conditioning. I think it was a warmer than average summer and isn’t usually needed tho. There were ceiling fans and a couple of fans on the house. She even supplied dog cleanup bags!
The physical house was what we needed it to be. We never had to use the air or heat because temps were perfect. The bedrooms were good sizes (the extra sinks in each room were interesting to manage with young children). The main floor living room was nice, the kitchen had the essentials, and the big table was helpful. We also used the laundry which was a great perk.I didn't fully realize that the suite was attached via the garage, so I sometimes felt like my kiddos were likely adding background noise to someone else's vacation, however, we were not bothered by the other guests. My only complaint was that "private lake access" was a little misleading. When we arrived we were pretty disappointed that you couldn't actually see the lake from the house. The photos didn't give a full picture, and the words, "within walking distance," was misunderstood. When I saw photos of the hammock/web and the rock beach, and the fire pit, I was led to believe it was all right there. My dreams of sitting by the fire while my kiddos threw rocks in the lake weren't possible. The private lake access was not clean or pleasant to sit at. It's very overgrown and there was a lot of trash. But we visited several beautiful beaches while on our trip. I would stay again for sure, but I would first look for a lake front option next time. The host was incredibly helpful and pleasant to chat with. We loved being so close to the fishing pier at the harbor, and we biked every where! It was a great trip.

I truly appreciate all feedback and always strive to give guests the best possible experience. That said, it’s a little disheartening when a review highlights issues that were clearly outlined in the listing. I’m sorry if any of those details were overlooked, and I want to reassure future guests that there is absolutely no intent to mislead.
The description does state that there are two units on the property and that the suite is located above the garage. Just to clarify, the lake is close to the property, you can walk or drive there, and the milage is also included. It’s not a waterfront property, though. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.
The photos and description also note that the bedrooms include sinks, which many families find helpful to reduce wait times for the bathroom. I’m sorry to hear that this layout didn’t work well for you and your children.
Thank you again for your feedback—and I am glad to hear you still had a nice getaway overall!!
