About the host

Hello! I am a second generation native, father, son, uncle and an avid fan of this great place to live. From great food and beverages, outdoor activities and cultural events I try to take advantage of everything Colorado has to offer.
It has been a pleasure to meet new folks and help them get settled in, I take great pride in my home and it pays, I have over 200 5 star reviews -on the other platform that starts with a A- and over 7 years of experience especailly with long term guests. Having happy folks enjoying my home and city is very rewarding!

Why they chose this property
Sunnyside is one of Denver's most desirable neighborhoods, in large part due to its restaurants, bars, closeness to the downtown attractions, two minutes off both major highways, parks and more. One of my favorite things about living there has been how quiet and cozy the street is while having so much so close by, an urban oasis for your adventures.
The neighborhood has become more and more walkable and bike friendly every year with new breweries, restaurants, museums and activities added the time. If you told me 20 years ago that my house would have 14 Michelin starred restaurants within 2 miles -crow flying- I would have laughed out loud!
My detailed “Native” guide will highlight much of what there is to discover in the area, whether it is fine dining across the street or a street fair across town.
In fact, it only takes 20-30 minutes to walk to the heart of downtown Denver. There are bus stops a block over and the light rail (city train) station is just minutes away, Union Station is a short 6-10 minute drive, or a reasonable Lyft/Uber or bus ride.
Within walking distance from the house, there usually are bikes/scooters for rent. Lyft/Uber usually costs seven to ten dollars to the city center.
If you are flying in, take the light rail to Union Station and a Lyft to the house or continue on the light rail to a stop close to the house and walk, this makes for super easy, affordable, and convenient travel to and from the airport.
Going to the airport the light rail drops you essentially in front of security, very convenient. There is also a light rail station at 41st and Fox that is about a half-mile walk from the house that goes to multiple destinations including union station and from there the airport.

What makes this property unique
This Victorian-era bungalow has been recently remodeled to be both beautiful, clean and comfortable with an eye for modern design while retaining some of its turn-of-the-century charms. Elements of its 130-year-old history were kept in place while updates like big, new efficient windows, black-out curtains in the bedrooms, new flooring, new mattresses, and more were installed specifically with your comfort in mind. All the art in the house is original, much of it produced in or based on Colorado.
The house comfortably sleeps four on a king and queen beds with comfy mattresses. The master bedroom has a king bed and features the original turn of the century wallpaper and antique prints. A new queen bed is in the space room and like the master has plenty of closet space for your things. The office has a couch and both standing and sitting desks for working from home. Laundry machines are stacked and behind a curtain in the office.
The kitchen features modern appliances and everything you need to create a home-cooked meal. Exposed bricks in the kitchen were made from the rocks of the Rocky Mountain foothills 13 0years ago making a connection to Colorado’s natural beauty.
Two outdoor living areas let you take advantage of Denver's typically mild climate. The large back patio has several outdoor seating areas; a couch, cafe table set, a meditation corner and picnic table while the front porch has two spots to relax with a meal or morning coffee.
Lighted off-street parking for one vehicle is provided in the back of the house.
Guests get a link to an online guidebook curated by the Colorado native owner with dozens of different personal recommendations for what to see, eat, watch and do in Denver and across Colorado. All the places and experiences mentioned in the guidebook have been added to a layered and color-coded custom Gaagle Map (airbnb will not allow the search giants name to be used...) making choosing and getting to everything simple.
