Property in need of repairs and general maintenance and cleaning. Most light fixtures with missing or burnt-out bulbs. One light fixture was missing with just wires coming out of wall. Outlet with missing base plate cover. Toilet seat not attached on one side. Bed had bottom sheet and quilt but no top sheet. Many beds did not have mattress pad between sheet and mattress. Low on hand soap, paper towels. No wash rags, dish rags, or kitchen towels. Water in hot tub dirty. Broken trampoline net. Please address these items before letting other stay. The kayaks were in good shape.

We really enjoyed having 2 fire pits and the many different areas to hang out in. For being remote it's easy to get necessities from the local stores.

Awesome location with lots of amenities!

This was a great place for a family vacation. The property manager was very friendly and attentive. He even helped us repair our boat wench! Highly recommended.

Cabin near the lake

Property was awesome! Has lots of ammenities for all to enjoy. There is something there for every age, kayaks, trampoline, fire pit, hammocks, golf cart "addt fee", hot tub, corn hole, out door spaces to be close or get away, etc... Very close to raccoon lake and short drive to the park. Highly recommend this cabin if you like the outdoors.

Moms and Daughters

My Sister in law and I went with daughter in laws. We had a great time. We ate too much, decorated cakes and did Christmas card decorating. It was a very special weekend.

Blissful retreat within a beautiful area

Truly a place to escape the stress of busy cities. This property has everything you need to relax and unwind, all you need is good company. A unique aesthetic paired with a cozy and efficient layout results in an experience that I could only sum up as perfect. Long talks by the fire, jamming out in the hot tub, indulging in the theater room, and exploring the nearby trails and lakes; there is no shortage of ways to make memories here. I am very grateful for the experience!

Great trip considering the circumstances

We were there for our father’s funeral, but being together helped to deal with the moment. The only thing bad to happen was my brother lost his Seiko watch there, and we didn’t have enough time before we had to leave to catch our flights. Everything else was a great time

Relaxing cabin in the woods

We had a great time! It is a cute cabin in the woods with access to raccoon lake. It was a quick drive to Turkey Run state park. There were two bedrooms with bunk beds in both rooms. We have three kids and our friends have three kids. It was tight, but doable. We rented the gulf cart and the kids loved it. We also enjoyed the hot tub. We would definitely recommend this cabin for a fun family vacation.

Good

2nd time staying at this cabin. Not as clean this year as last year, but we did let the owner know the issues we had and he said he will address them all. Owner is very kind and was receptive to all we had to say and these are fairly easy fixes so i do believe this to be true. Would definitely stay again and see if the issues are resolved because we love the location of this cabin and all it has to offer. Our family of 4 had a great time.

Raccon Lake

Comfortable beds. A lot of towels. Close to the lake. Used trailer attached to golf cart to move kayaks. Big windows to see kids in hot tub and trampoline. Nice fire pit. Pack n play for baby and high chair. Washer dryer and detergent. A lot of movie CD’s. Life preservers for all. Wonderful time!

1. The exterior was a mess, had to take my leaf blower and clean things up. 2. The BBQ grill was junk and didn’t work at all after many tries. We had to cook our burgers in a pan. Bad deal!3 One of the toilet seats was broken.

First thing the place smelled real bad 2nd it wasn't clean I had to clean the grill and 3rd when I wasn't there the host/owner would go inside the house that I paid to rent really bad host /owner

The renter thought it was ok to show up with a dog, cause the home to smell, and then complain about the smell they caused. We have a no pet policy that they obviously had no intentions of following when they booked. They thought it was ok to take apart a high end Jenair stainless steel gas grill and put its parts in the large brick fire pit to cook. I simply showed them how to turn on the gas, hit the ignitor, and it started right up. The cleaning of the grill was missed by the cleaning service. I apoligized for this and addressed with the cleaners so this does not happen in the future. Decorations were taken from their location in the home and found laying scratched up in the driveway. When I asked them to not do this, they wanted to know how they are to determine what items are decorations. The tenant states the host went In to the rental space without them and this is simply not true. We take pride in offering a great rental experience for our guests. All other reviews support this. When a guest does not respect our property, ignores house rules, makes false statements, and complains about problems they caused, they are not a guest we wish to have back. We hope this does not happen to other hosts in the future.

Lots of sweet and thoughtful touches added throughout the property to provide lots of character and charm. The host is quick to communicate and even offer things to do in the area during your visit.

The outdoor furniture is a little worse for wear. The golf cart didn’t work and the gas grill only had one burner that worked. The kitchen was well stocked and the air conditioning worked great!
