Generally very nice, the road appears to be a main route through the area and does pick up a fair amount of traffic noise, especially when the road is wet.

The house was lit up and music was playing when we unlocked the front door—such a warm welcome! Beautiful home and the backyard deck on the water is amazing. Great stay!

The house was not the cleanest. The floors were dirty, the sheets had hair in them. The loft sofa sleeper had some stuff on the sheets. Little black specks. I brushed them off. The kitchen drawers and under island was dirty. Kitchen pans need to be replaced. Light bulbs burned out, light over kitchen sink didn’t work at all. The master bed was comfortable but our family who slept in the other beds said the mattresses were not good. We needed some blankets but couldn’t find any. One towel and wash rag per person. Three slivers of soap for 11 people. Three tiny shampoo’s for 12 people. The living room furniture needs replacing. You sit down and keep going. The recliners we fought over if you wanted to sit in there. The pool was cloudy not clear. One, of the two queen bedrooms had no tv and the other one didn’t work. The decks need work and painting. They marketed it with a Jacuzzi. There was no hot tub there. We were three families staying there together for a family wedding. The place has lots of potential, but needs work and updating to justify the price. The lake view is beautiful. Marketing was deceptive. We were told that no more than 12 people could be there at any time because of the neighbors. So none of our family could stop by and see us during the wedding weekend. The marketing said that guests could be there, but they had to leave by midnight. My honest review.

We had the most enjoyable time here. The views are picturesque and spectacular. We had everything we needed and many options for nearby dining. The host was very responsive and kind. We are hoping to book this place again in the future.

The pictures do not do this property Justice. It is truly paradise. We felt right at home as soon as we got there. Host was amazing ensuring we were enjoying our time. Our son graduated from boot camp and it was a great place for him to unwind afterward. If we lived closer we would stay here again. Book this place if you are at all interested , you will not regret it

Spacious & Cozy Retreat

Our host is fantastic. We chatted since right after the booking and through the stay, answering questions along the way. The house is fantastic. Great space for both gathering or reuniting with friends/family, while also being incredibly comfortable and cozy. The Deck is phenomenal with the perfect view through the inlet during dusk. Local amenities are just up the road so you never feel like a quick store run is a chore. This place is awesome. 10/10

Abruptly kicked out

The house was awesome and we were having a great time and suddenly the owner went crazy on us because we hd a few friends over for a cookout. None of the friends were spending the night

Regrettably, Paula's reservation was canceled due to her failure to comply with the house rules. This was her second stay with us, and unfortunately, it was also the second time we encountered issues. Her initial booking was through Airbnb, while this time it was through VRBO. The primary concern this time was the presence of unauthorized guests, which is strictly prohibited as it creates disturbances for our full-time neighbors. Our property is approved for up to 12 guests. We received information indicating that the number of people at the house exceeded the allowed limit. Following an attempt to address the situation amicably, Paula informed me of her intention to proceed with a cookout and invite additional guests. Consequently, her reservation was canceled immediately. Upon inspecting the property after their departure, we discovered that a member of Paula's group had defecated in the toilet water holding tank. We were compelled to engage a bio-hazardous cleaning company to clean and sanitize the toilet water holding tank. In light of these events, I do not recommend anyone to host Paula or her family members and of course, she is no longer welcome at our home.
