About this property

A real log cabin perched on a hill with farm views and 3.5 acres. 2.5 miles to Granville town and Denison. There are 3 large bedrooms with gigantic closets and comfy brand new beds/bedding. Kitchen is stocked with enough pans and pots, plates and dishes to cook and we have a large dining table.

The space:
3 bedrooms. 2 with king sized beds and one with 2 twins. The open living room/dining room has vaulted ceilings and is perched on a hill. There are doors leading out to a nice deck with outside dining and lounging. 3 full bathrooms with one being en suite. Large lower level with walkout door has an extra living room and serves as a tv room or extra sleeping room. There is a full
Bath just off of this room.

Other things to note
We have a 5G hotspot for internet. There is an Apple TV that you can use but only streaming services.

The bike path leading from Johnstown to Newark is right down the street. Denison and Granville town are a quick 5 min drive. Wake up to cows, fall asleep to crickets!

Excellent solar eclipse base camp

My family and I stayed here the night before the solar eclipse. The house is large and spacious with a definite cabin vibe and a wood-burning fireplace. Nestled into a hillside, we enjoyed spending time on the updated deck, which is large and overlooks a beautiful green space and meadow below. You'll hear cows in the morning, crickets and frogs in the evening. And the canopy of stars at night is amazing. Host communications were excellent. We were able to easily extend our trip another day; the host was very accommodating and made the process simple and cost-effective. We will come again when we have more time to explore the area and quaint small towns.

Quiet & Spacious

We enjoyed our stay. Great place to meet up with extended family members and plenty of room to gather around the table to play board games. The kids love kicking the soccer ball around outside in the grass and the setting is very pretty and peaceful. Great communication with the host. Would recommend if you’re in the area.

Perfect place for our family to stay

We stayed at this large home over Thanksgiving weekend. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms and kitchen were clean and the space was quiet and expansive. We were happy to eat breakfast while enjoying the lovely view out the large windows. Our college sons enjoyed the privacy of the basement for late night gaming. Only a short drive into town for weekend shopping, groceries and dining. We’ll certainly keep this spot in mind for future visits to family.
