Welcome to this quaint country cabin with a large deck overlooking the water and mountain views from the porch. Set on one level for easy access, a cement path connects the front and back decks, making it accessible for all. This waterfront cabin features an open-concept studio layout—no separate bedrooms. The space includes a queen-size bed, a fold-out couch, and a small loft, offering flexible sleeping arrangements. Located 2 miles from the small town of Wadena, the cabin sits on a peaceful property that also includes a campground with RV spaces for rent.
Enjoy all the basics for a comfortable stay—kitchen utensils, linens, and towels are provided. Outside, you’ll find a fire pit, LP grill, picnic table, plenty of space to roam, and walking paths to explore. Guests have free access to kayaks, a canoe, and a rowboat. Fishing is catch and release only, and swimming in the lake is not allowed due to insurance restrictions.
This is a rural getaway, so expect some local wildlife, bugs, and gravel roads—it’s all part of the charm. Please note: I’m usually available by phone or email if you need anything, but please be prepared to self-check in and enjoy your stay independently if I’m unavailable. Thank you for your understanding!
If you're looking for a fun, unique place to unplug and unwind—this is it.
*** The cabin is located near a small campground where you might see a few campers, mostly on weekends. If you have friends with RVs or campers, feel free to invite them to join you!
Guests are welcome to enjoy the kayaks and rowboat provided, along with life jackets for safety. Please note: swimming in the lake is not allowed due to insurance restrictions. Fishing is catch-and-release only, and we ask that you use artificial bait to help protect the fish during release.
There’s a $25 pet fee per stay.
To make your stay more comfortable, don’t forget to bring any personal items you might want—like an extra blanket or your favorite pillow. I don’t provide heavy blankets by default since I can’t launder them between every guest, but I’m happy to offer them upon request.

Very beautiful property, all 5 of us enjoyed our stay very much. There was only one down thing, and that was the lack of cellphone service. Strangely enough, my cellphone was the only one of 5 that had the internet (Verizon service), so everyone used my phone to access the internet and make calls. But other than that, our stay was 5-star across the board.
The guest was okay not great, just average. Jk, Honestly I think these reviews are a waste of time.
It all depends on the guest. One thinks the place is great, the next person thinks it's average with no frills and it all depends on the the customer and what type of person or mood they are in, their expectations, and where their used to staying and Financially what they consider a good deal or not. One guess might be happier in a motel six the next quest might be used to stayng at the Hilton. And again both of those situations have little to do with my rental. It's all relative and the reviews are based on the guest and thier situation.
I don't think I'm going to waste anymore time on this reviewing process.
I've had dozens of people tell me that my place is great, and that's what i'm going.
with. Thanks!

Disliked: Amenities
There heat was low. Shower had cold to slightly warm water. No hot water.
My group of 6 reserved the smallest cabin on this campground last minute, 2 days before arriving. Andy was super helpful and accommodating. We found it was well worth the price and the amenities and activities (including the lake and boats that were provided free on site) very enjoyable. Very cool to find such a nice campground tucked away in a low traffic region.
The owner met us at the cabin and showed us around. I was staying in the cabin while my 16 year old son and friends stayed in the adjacent tent sites. They truly enjoyed the lake, and spent much of their time playing kayak-football with a floating ball. The place was clean and the owner attentive. The cabin is sufficiently large for a few people to sleep, but was fine for gathering at meal times or when it was too hot.
