Peaceful and relaxing, hiking in fresh snow on trails, seeing deer turkeys and many other tracks. Very quiet and cozy quarters and the Hosts Edd and Betty were very nice, would love to return in snowless seasons to further explore the nature and the ponds.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay! Cabin was clean and had everything we needed, including being stocked with toiletries in case they had been forgotten. Ample outdoor space that would be great to enjoy when the weather is a little warmer. Hosts were great! Thoughtful, friendly, and accommodating. Would definitely go back!

The stay was great! Host was very helpful, cabin was nice, and the property was beautiful! A few things to think about when booking- On a pretty rough level B road, so 4x4 is a must. The host was willing to shuttle up and down when needed- No stove. All they had was an air fryer, microwave, and grill. Not a big deal, just keep in mind- Only shower was an outside shower

What an experience. The cabin was beautiful, skillfully crafted using wood native to the property. The view of the land from the cabin the best that NE Iowa has to offer. We had a blast driving on the trails, and the kids caught plenty of fish when we went ice fishing on one of the ponds. The hosts were very accommodating, I enjoyed chatting with Eddie when he was showing us around the property and the cabin. We will absolutely stay there again in the future, most of my extended family lives in that area, so we make the trip a few times a year. We travel often, using VRBO and similar for our accommodations. Most experiences are positive to some extent. Some, not so much. But this place is off the charts, a rare gem that we will never forget. To the hosts- Thank you for everything. That was the getaway that we needed. We look forward to next time.
