The Whitetail Cabin for a Northern Wisconsin experience of fun and relaxation...
The Whitetail Cabin is a secluded, yet easily accessible property that is spacious both inside and out. Inside, Aspen beams and decor provide a true Northwoods appeal with comfort and style, while outside is a peaceful and relaxing country view. Just 3 miles North there are thousands of acres of public land open to hunters and hikers. 20 minutes west are the Blue Hills and Christy Mountain ski resort with both downhill and cross-country skiing. There are excellent trout streams here as well. The Thornapple River is almost a stones throw away from the cabin and is excellent for a kayak or canoe float with great bass and musky fishing. The big rivers, the Flambeau and Chippewa, are just 5 and 15 minutes drive. They both are world class rivers for musky, bass, pike and walleye fishing as well as tubing which is very popular here. Lakes are too numerous and varied for description but offer excellent fishing, swimming and watersports. Fall brings deer, bear, duck and grouse seasons as well as spectacular fall colors. It is possibly the finest season to visit northern Wisconsin. In winter, Rusk County offers many miles of well groomed snowmobile trails with the trail passing right by the cabin. You can step right out of the cabin and on to your sled! There is room for parking several trucks and trailers so large groups are welcome. In addition to the multitude of woods and water sports, all summer long there are county fairs, festivals, rodeos, logging competition, dirt track racing, casinos and so much more all in easy driving distance. If simple peace, quiet and comfort is all you're looking for, come join us and enjoy the Northwoods!

Large relaxing space to be with family between planned events. Enjoyed the open areas with bar like kitchen area. Sat outside one evening with a fire. Loved it.
This cabin and property is amazing. Very comfortable and very well constructed! I will definitely be booking here in the future. Highly recommended for a great getaway or if you need a place to stay in the Ladysmith area.

The place was very clean and quiet. The beds and furniture were comfortable. The layout of the place is made for a gathering of people. I’ll be staying here again.
Note: when arriving to the address, turn into the driveway (1st) closest to 27.
This was the best cared for property we have ever visited. Complete attention to detail. Every conceivable need, want or comfort was provided. Quality sheets fluffy towels. Comfy throws for snuggling. Quality bath products in abundance. Spotless. Highly recommend will return.
We loved the layout of this cabin. The center is a hub for everyone to be together. We also liked having Dana and Nikki close for anything we needed. Our dog Leo loved running outside and exploring too. The cabin has everything you need. Great amenities! We can't wait to return.

We cook most meals, even on vacation, and this was an awesome set up! Full refrigerator and gas stove, along with all the pots, pans, dishes, etc... provided. Highly recommend for those wanting to minimize eating out expenses. Then, there are still great restaurants for those times you want to eat out! Enjoy!

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The drive up to the property immediately gives you the feeling of seclusion and wilderness. Upon entry, the vaulted ceiling, huge log supports overhead and cabin decor confirm your property choice! Clean, well appointed, fresh. Cozy and comfortable without a single issue. Just as you hoped it would be. Invite friends over and share the experience. Or, keep the serenity all to yourself. Either way it’s a win.
Had some business in the area for a few days and this location and property was absolutely outstanding. Everything needed to cook, clean, and relax is on site. The owner is very responsive and is very honest about the property and its amenities. Recommend highly!
My family and I had a great time staying at the cabin. It was very clean and comfortable, and looked just like the pictures. There was also lots of open space for the kids to run around.
We all were pleased with our stay. The location, amenities, and hosts attention to detail made our vacation one of the best! The on-site laundry was an added bonus! Host was gracious and helped us find a prime fishing/kayaking and beach location!
The kiddos had a blast around the beautiful campfire set up under the stars. 10/10!!!
We decided we are doing this same trip/cabin every year! We loved it!!!
Thank you!!!

We had a great time staying here! Nice clean place. Was easy to communicate
with via email with any questions we had. Will plan on staying here again next time we are in the area!
The hosts did think of a lot of the necessary and fun items to make the trip enjoyable. A/C, Grill, Firepit, lots of room to spread out. Great beds, great stove for cooking, etc.
The location feels remote, but not more than 2 miles from town. You can expect privacy. Saw cranes, hummingbirds and more. Forest and fields all around.
The building is brand new inside and out. Great care went into layout. A beauty.
You need to turn on the 1st driveway on the left once you're on East Cut Off Road ... take that a few hundred yards past garages and you'll find it. You will not see it from the road. Ignore the address provided. Owner is on the property in another house. You cannot see other buildings from the cabin.
We thought it was worth it. Hope you do too.
