Peaceful

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The cottage is beautiful inside and out. We especially enjoyed sitting in the screened porch. We ventured into LaCrosse, Winona, and Viroqua and found a lot of great used bookstores.

Great Cottage in the Driftless Area

We had a wonderful time at this cottage. Its location is a perfect spot for a fishing trip as it is close to many creeks/coulees. The cottage is also very thoughtfully laid out for fly fishermen. It is very well appointed and we enjoyed the scenery and screened in porch to relax between fishing adventures. Will hopefully be back sometime!

We loved this beautiful retreat and all its clean and quaint features. It's a perfect spot to unwind and take in a beautiful part of our state. The owners, clearly, put a lot of time and energy into making this a well-equipped, stylized, and memorable place to stay...just lovely!

Perfect Late Summer Cottage

Perfect little oasis in the Coulee Region! Tasteful decor and well appointed kitchen for cooking and enjoying the view of the trout creek and cow farm. Our teen girls loved the aesthetic - many pictures were taken during golden hour in the hammock and by the stream. Cottage was better than the pictures - property is stunning and was a true getaway.

A snug cabin on a trout stream nestled in a Wisconsin coulee.

I sat on the bench at streamside just before dawn taking in the cold clean air. Between the great horned owl hooting goodnight and the.pair of eagles greeting the dawn.....lifetime memory for sure.

Cool Spot on Timber Coulee

My buddy and I found the cottage as fantastic as the fishing. The home itself is thoughtfully designed and perfect for a small group. The fishing off the front stoop is equally impressive. Overall just a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the area.

Timber Cottage

The property was beautiful and very well maintained. Would love to see in in summer when all the plants would be in bloom. Close to towns and amish shops and greenhouses. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful Cozy Cottage! Very clean. Can tell a lot of hard work and thought went into decorating the cottage. Very serene location. Loved hearing the babbling creek just steps away from the cottage. Conveniently located to nearby dining and shopping. Will definitely try to make a trip back!

Fall Fly Fishing Jaunt

The remodeled cottage is beautiful and we had a wonderful time. Would come back again. Miss the pictures of the ski jump you had in the old cottage. It is very private and the poximity to Timber Coulee creek is great to quickly do some fishing in the morning.

Beautiful streamside cottage experience

This property definitely has an upscale feel to it. It's an ideal setup if someone doesn't want to spend every waking minute fishing because it has a terrific kitchen, comfortable living room, and an outstanding screened in porch. The hosts really thought out the details and we didn't lack for anything. I'd like to visit in the fall when shorter days would force us to take more advantage of the comfort of the cottage!

It was so peaceful and restful! Had coffee one early morning on the front porch, an eagle swooped down and attempted to catch a trout from the stream. We loved the screened in porch and the kitchen had everything that we needed! The whole cottage was decorated so cute! We will be back.

Ted spends free time fly fishing the Timber Coulee Creek and surrounding driftless area, Kimberly's interests include interior decorating and design, and flower gardening. We consider ourselves pretty lucky to enjoy this location. The cottage is appointed from the perspective of "what do we enjoy and appreciate" and have this guide our every choice and decision.

Why they chose this property

Timber Coulee Cottage is located just steps from the Timber Coulee Creek. Fly fishing is "just out your front door". Surrounded by rolling hills and grazing cattle, the yard provides beautiful landscape and privacy. The location provides easy access to the entire driftless area allowing our guests to enjoy hiking, canoeing, kayaking, biking, fly fishing, dining, wineries, breweries, and more.
