Had a great weekend here. Had everything we needed, comfortable and very clean. Quiet neighborhood. Host was helpful when we had a question. Would definitely stay here again if we get in the area.
I had the worst experience ever at this property. First, I was locked out for an hour with no help from the host — a complete stranger ended up helping me get in because the host was unresponsive. After that, the AC stopped working and never worked for my entire stay. It was actually hotter inside than it was outside, and the issue wasn’t fixed until the day I was leaving. I was sweating and miserable the whole time. The pull-out couch mattress felt like cardboard, and the sheets smelled horrible, like cow manure. It was honestly disgusting. The host was extremely rude, kept bragging about owning other places, yet never once offered to move me to another property or provide any kind of solution. Even the workers who came to fix the AC had negative things to say about the host, which tells you a lot.I will never rent from this host again, and I would not recommend this listing to anyone. Total disappointment from start to finish. Also there were three kayaks but only 1 paddle. Fishing rods were shared with other people and went missing when we used them.

Elydia, I think a lack of communication on your part was definitely an issue here.
Firstly. you didn’t follow directions and locked yourself out then didn’t communicate this to us until 45 minutes went by at which point, I got you back inside within 15 minutes with someone I contacted, not a stranger. That person said you were frazzled and unable to follow the directions provided to get back inside. You were told to use a specific door yet you were strangely trying to enter through the garage doors.
Secondly, we always provide freshly washed sheets and only use natural detergent which basically smells like nothing.
Thirdly, you didn’t request to reserve or use the recreational equipment because if you had, I would have told you where to find the paddles and life jackets in the shed. You just saw the kayaks in the garage and never actually requested to use them.
Lastly, when you first requested how to use the a/c, I provided you with instructions and asked if you would like me to send someone to show you how to use it but you did not reply until the next day which led me to believe you were ok. Not to mention, it was 55 degrees outside and the a/c will not go on at that temperature. When you asked again, I sent someone within the day. As for the a/c workers, I warned them that you were a particularly difficult guest before they walked in, just to assist you as best they could and pacify you.
There will always be that one guest…
My other reviews speak for themselves.
