Jim and I live locally in the Red River Gorge area. I am a 7th generation local and Jim is a native of Chicago but has come to love my hometown and now calls it "home". We were married later in life and are a blended family of 6 adult children, 6 grandbabies, a few rescue animals and living our best lives. We are Christians who are daily seeking to further our faith and relationship with our Savior Jesus. God has been good to us to be able to find one another along some broken roads in life and we are so thankful for His mercies and blessings. One of those blessings is being able to share our homes with our guests and sometimes make new friends from folks of all walks of life and all cultures! We also love to travel to far away places and some of our favorites have been Turkey, New Zealand, Brazil and Patagonia. We love to trade travel stories and learning about your adventures, around the bend or across the ocean. We've gotten a lot of travel inspiration from our guests too and now have some cool stuff on our wish list. We hope that all of our experience in travel has given us enough insight to provide everything you will need to be comfortable if visiting one of our 5 vacation rentals. And if not, we hope you will tell us so we can keep adding and improving!! Come stay with us!
Why they chose this property
This property is the ultimate in charm and serenity. You can truly relax while here and enjoy the amazing horizon views that will allow your mind to "rest". It's super easy to get to with excellent paved roads but oh so private once you arrive.
What makes this property unique
We are very far away from all traffic, chaos, noise, light pollution and general busy attractions and distractions yet we have excellent paved roads that make it easy to get here. We also have all the luxuries you would need to be comfortable and content while being remote. A very clean home with new upscale kitchen appliances, new beds, quality bed sheets, smart TV, Wifi, relaxing outdoor patio spaces, and a hot tub. The house has been updated, but hasn't been stripped of it's original character so it has maintained the original rural "prairie house" charm. You'll see what I mean when you arrive. The house is spacious, warm. and inviting. :)
