Surrounded by a wine-growing region, surrounded by Kaiserstuhl and Markgräflerland, this winegrowing town is ideal for cycling tours and hikes on Tuniberg and the nearby Kaiserstuhl. Bicycles can be rented in Breisach. The nearby Baggersee and the Waldfreibad in Breisach invite you to go swimming in summer. Various companies offer cruises on the Rhine. In winter, trails and ski slopes in the nearby Black Forest can be reached in a short time. Freiburg and Hausberg Schauinsland are 16-20km, Alsace 10km and Switzerland 50km. The Baden cuisine, excellent wines, seasonal asparagus, taverns, wine festivals, grape harvest with New Sweet toTie cake and walnuts invite as well as the cultural scenes in the nearby Mulhouse or Colmar (Alsace), Basel (Switzerland) and Freiburg.
