Overall a great time. Cute little cabin and was a great place for us to be located to do our house hunting. Lovely porch right on the river, which was quite enjoyable. Centrally located to plenty of amenities. Not much space outside and located behind a storage facility and some kind of dumpster rental facility. Otherwise we had a fabulous time!
I give this property a high rating; the description is very accurate. A comfortable 2-bedroom place with decent bathroom and a good kitchen. We were there for a fishing trip and it is perfectly situated for that.
So natural and gorgeous! Couldn't ask for better weather to enjoy evenings sitting around the fire pit surrounded by the woods. What a wonderful place!
We enjoyed our stay. Perfect amount of space. Kitchen nicely stocked but could use a cutting board. Enjoyed meals outside with rush of the river flowing. Great addition of a fire pit!
Nice cozy cabin right on the river. Has just enough pots, pans, and coffee Kurig to make you comfortable. The only downside is the surrounding neighborhood and being next to a trailer park and a dog daycare kennel. We felt safe during our stay but could have been a nicer neighborhood.
This is a nice new cabin directly on the river, we were able to spend time with out sons and they're wives and our grandchildren, Having a drink on the patio while watching the kids play by the river was just what we were wanting when we planned this trip. And the Host was very accommodating. And out little pup had a great time, lots of roaming room.! Thank you, can't wait for out next trip.

My wife, myself and our 2 pups enjoyed this lovely newly built cabin on a rapidly running creek. There were 2 big fields for the pups to run around and play. They had all the necessary items for a home so we only needed our personal items. Great wifi, cell service was also good and we were about 5 minutes from anything we needed. The town is intimate, quiet and the people are lovely. We drove all over and visited cities and sites in Virgina, Tennessee and North Carolina. Snowboarding was 45 mins away and we enjoyed Beech mountain for a bit. We hiked with the dogs all over and cooked dinner in the evenings while building fires in the fire pit next to the creek.

River Cottage 3
Very well built and new looking. Surrounding area is camp ground, industrial business or dog kennel.
Difficult to find initially, cannot be seen from the road behind a large industrial business and fenced lot. A sign or marker on the road would help.
The cottage was not stocked, you will need to bring all toiletries, paper towels, condiments. The bath items included( towels) were very minimal, and would last two adults overnight and maybe one more day. Bring all your soaps, shampoos and other bath items you may need.
The ductless air conditioning system may be difficult for persons not familiar with their operations. There were no manual or pamphlet to help explain the remote control for the air conditioner.
The Wi-Fi is weak and will cause buffering on the ROKU TV and it’s streaming services. Multiple resets will be required.
Also remember to bring extra trash bags or extra storage bags if needed, none were provided.
Bring any basic food items required, items such as sugar, salt and pepper etc…
Extra rolls of toilet paper and paper towels, if staying for more than two days.
The lighting at night is poor in the parking areas or road/ driveway to the cottage.
This is more a fishing camp than a weekend retreat or romantic getaway location.
Privacy on your porch is very limited, it can be viewed from the other cabins located next door on both sides. The passing traffic on the river and camping grounds across the river directly opposite the front porch are in view.

Lot of bugs in the windowsill. Bathroom is very small.
Had a fantastic stay. Sat on the deck with morning coffee, afternoon chill time, and sunset watching. Sounds of the river made me happy. There were also road sounds, but I didn’t mind. Cabin was clean with more outlets than I needed!
It was the perfect place for us. Loved listening to the river from the porch. Plenty of places to walk the dogs. On-site property care-giver was excellent! The neighborhood is commercial, but the cabins are tucked away from the activity.
We. felt absolutely comfortable here. Very close to where you wanted to go (beach, Food City, town of Elizabethton). Kitchen was clean and organized. Beds were comfy.
This is a great place to sit and watch time go by as the river levels change hourly because of the damn release schedule. Fairly quiet even when people are in the other cabins. 10 to 20 minutes to most places.

This place is gorgeous right by the river. It made sitting in the porch a pleasant experience.
It was a nice quiet spot on the river. The fishing was good just outside our door. The place was clean and nice. Close to town for groceries, other fishing spots and restaurants. It is nestled into a more industrial/commercial area, but once you are in the cabin, you don't really notice it. Great for a quiet get away or a fun fishing adventure.
Old neighborhood of Elizabethton so truly surprised how quite it was and cabin is beautiful with everything you need provided. I have lots of family there's my hometown but military kid so traveled alot.
Our check in process was very easy, Beautiful view! Our cabin was right on the river. It was very clean and well stocked. We met our host the morning we were leaving. He was very nice. Even showed us inside the other cabins that were near. We will definitely stay here again!! Had a wonderful relaxing vacation!!
Cabin is not remote, but easy to get to and close to everything. Kitchen is modern, internet is fast, TV works great, has heating and cooling. Way better than staying in a hotel.
