20th Anniversary

I thought when we arrived we were the first folks to ever stay there but now know we weren’t. It’s a lovely setting, VERY clean, equipped w/ everything we would need. So glad I looked up on VRB - first time using. Blessing for sure

Little gem in the woods! Private setting.

This log cabin tiny home was such a nice surprise. Private setting with pasture views and even horses coming up to say hello in the pasture. Very private, felt like we were on several acres all by ourselves. Gravel road leads to home but not long and a gradual slope up. Mini Cooper made it up no problem. Due to Tiny home not too much in the way of staples due to limited storage. No spices or salt and pepper. The shakers were empty and could have just been an oversight. No toaster that we saw. All utensils are there with 1 pot and some frying pans and cookie sheet etc. plenty of paper towels and toilet paper for 1 couple for long weekend. The place was neat as a pin and cute as can be! Log cabin style inside and out. Even better than photos. The bath towels were nice and soft and good size. Little bedroom for kids off main living area or could be a perfect little quiet office with a door. Main bedroom with queen bed. Little vanity area in that bedroom was nice with a chair and some storage cubbies. WiFi was great no problems at all. Nicely decorated in deer motif. Nice large, very clear Tv with Netflix and Amazon prime video and lots of other channels and apps. The firepit outside was great. Bring your own firewood or you can cut and chop some wood from fallen tree limbs in the woods. Plenty of that as the wooded area is good size. Even has an outdoor water spicket so you can hose the firepit down at night to be safe but it does have a spark arrester cover. Bring a fire starter/ lighter with you. Did not see one in the cabin. Bed was on the firm side but worked okay. The futon was quite comfortable both sitting or used as a bed with side tables that flipped out from the futon for your glasses or phone. Lot of pillows and lots of nice warm soft blankets. Even had some makeup remover packets in bath along with hotel size shampoo and conditioner. Hair dryer too. Located not too far off Nottely Dam Road. Directly off Elisha Payne circle. Plenty of level gravel parking area in front of the cabin. All in all we felt like we were truly on a nice vacation away from it all. The place is new so in perfect condition. We will be back to visit Deer cabin again for sure. They also have “Bear” cabin on same road but far enough from each other for complete privacy. We loved being at the end of the road all to ourselves.

Wonderful Small Log Cabin

We enjoyed staying there, great internet (I was able to log into my work and work with no problems), great TV options. We are a couple with no kids. The drive to Blairsville was about 15+ mins. Driving nearby the cabin had lots of scenic country views with rolling hills. The views from the cabin were nice too. The cabin location was very peaceful and quiet.
