The historic Bates-Hendricks Neighborhood is located near the city center on the near southeast side of Indianapolis. Located close to downtown, Lucas Oil Stadium, and Banker's Life Fieldhouse. You'll be staying on the main thoroughfare, right where the revitalization is taking place. The neighborhood gets it's namesake from the Bates-Hendricks House, which is just 2 blocks away on the S. New Jersey St. esplanade. Here are some places to visit while you're in Indy.
Gainbridge Field House - 1.6 Miles
Lucas Oil Stadium - 1.7 Miles

BATES-HENDRICKS -
This neighborhood has gained notoriety by being frequently seen in HGTV's series 'Good Bones'. A block north from the home, across the street, is the Lincoln Lane Coffee House and Two Chicks District Company. A block or 2 to the south is 1718 House Bar and an ice cream shop. There is also Tex-Mex on the corner of East & Morris. It's attached to a gas station and is so good, very authentic.
FOUTAIN SQUARE-
1 mile. Great place to head for entertainment. There is duck-pin bowling, tons of places to eat, live music, and art.
GARFIELD PARK-
1 mile. This 136-acre park is the oldest park in Indy and it includes a beautiful conservatory and sunken gardens that are gorgeous when they are in bloom. There are live concerts at MacAllister Amphitheater and there is a seasonal farmer's market. The Aquatic Center is open in the summer.
You will have the entire home to yourself.
(The basement and attic are unfinished areas for the mechanicals and are not available to guests.)
There is an open back yard, it is not fenced. The green house next door is also available for rent if you need a lot of space, please ask!
The home has lots or windows and plenty of natural light. Everything has been updated, including all modern mechanicals, clever finishes, and matte white GE Cafe appliances. The space includes the following:
* main level suite with a king-sized bed, a full bath that has a low-curb walk-in shower & a double vanity
*2nd level suite with a king-sized bed, a full bath with a low-curb walk-in shower & a single vanity
*2nd level suite with king-sized bed, full bath with bath tub, & a single vanity
*2nd level bedroom with a queen-sized bed, there is a full bath at the end of the hall with a double vanity & walk-in shower available for occupants of this bedroom

There is a touchpad on the front door and the rear door. You can enter through either door.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT TIMES -
The check-in time is 4pm EST and the check-out time is at 10:00 am EST. Currently, all the linens are washed and dried on-site between guests and the house needs to be cleaned and sanitized as well. The cleaners use the time between guests to make sure the home is ready for your arrival.
WINDOW COVERS -
The bedrooms have black out window shades. The main living area has window shades that allow light to enter the home.
HVAC -
There are 2 separate HVAC systems at the house, one for the main level and one for the 2nd level. So, you don't have to worry about the upstairs being hotter than downstairs.
STAIRS -
There are some stairs to go up to the front of the house to reach the front porch and door. Inside the home, there are 2 staircases, one in the front of the house and one in the back.
