Introducing The Wild Rose Cottage!

This beauty abounds with space and "Glam Cottage" charm. Designed with comfort in mind, this gracious home is ideal for mutli-generational family gatherings and groups of family or friends.

It is perfectly located 60 feet from the heart of Historic Main Street. Steps away from coffee shops, restaurants, boutique shopping, and Frontier Park.

The Wild Rose has 3 full floors. Upstairs has a huge open kitchen, living room, and dining area, complete with a fireplace, half bath, butler's pantry, and bonus living room. From the dining room and kitchen windows, guests can catch a peekaboo view of Main Street and the Missouri River.

On the main walk in level, there two separate wings of large private bedrooms, two King size and two Queen, with three full sized bathrooms and an office.

The walkout basement downstairs holds the custom Home Theater with a 122" big screen as well as a laundry room, game room, half bath, and an extra gathering space.

Our stay was perfect from beginning to end! Beautiful, clean home. One block from St. Charles Main Street. Cold AC! Theater and game room was perfect for the kids! Large rooms with plenty of beds! Laundry room, large kitchen, many bathrooms! Amazing communication from owners! We’ll be back!

Loved the media room. It was great to have bedrooms on a different level then the gathering space.

Great location, plenty of bathrooms (5 total) beautiful interior design touches to make it feel like home. Nice to have a few parking spots in the back.

Perfect house!

This is our 3rd year going to St Charles Christmas Traditions! And this is the best house we have stayed in. Perfect location to the Main Street festivities and restaurants. Just a half block away from everything. The house is super clean and the owners have thought of everything plus more that you might want in a vacation home. It’s nice and cozy and super spacious! The kids really enjoyed the movie theater! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful, clean, and perfect location!

Came to town with family and friends all age 21+ (except for 1 month old infant) for a concert and to enjoy St. Charles. The house exceeded our expectations; was well stocked, clean, beautifully decorated, and much larger than pictures showed. Was walking distance to Main Street of historic downtown, close to concert (Hollywood Casino Amphitheater), golfing, and Amritsar Casino.

Charming house in a perfect location

My husband and I visited with 2 of our adult children's families, including our 4 grandchildren. This charming house was so perfect! Everyone had a bedroom and bathroom. The toys and books were enjoyed by our grandchildren and our adult children loved the theater room. The location right off historic Main Street is so perfect.

Incredible Home!

This home is beautiful and surprisingly large, but also cozy and comfortable! The layout provides privacy for couples or families, but also offers several amazing places to gather. The host is so kind and was quick to respond to questions. We would definitely return to this home on future visits to the St. Louis area.

What a wonderful place.

This house was just what we hoped for. A clean, nice place for all of us to hang out together and yet so much to do in a walkable location. We had 4 couples going to the NCAA frozen four weekend and all of us loved the house. The only thing I can say is be aware that only 3 of the 5 bathrooms have showers. Two bedrooms are in one hallway with one bathroom so that left 4 adults using one bathroom. The other 2 showers are in bedrooms. Not a great choice but was doable. Just giving a heads up.There were lots of games and a cool theater room so never board. Well done.

Beautiful and charming

This house is so beautiful and was perfect for our extended family(4 couples, one teenager, and 2 babies). The bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable. The layout with 2 different bedroom hallways worked out well for the 2 families who had babies. The theater room was a big hit. My young adult kids enjoyed playing video games on the huge screen. The proximity to Main Street Old St. Charles was fun. We all enjoyed walking, browsing, and eating on Main Street. All the thoughtful and welcoming touches by the hosts were appreciated, from baked goodies for our arrival to having the pack n play set up and Christmas music and video playing on the TV when we arrived. I highly recommend this property!

Family Reunion

This rental was perfect for our family reunion. The home was spotless, quiet, and the layout of the bedrooms was exactly what we needed. The beds were so comfortable, that I meant to check out the brand to buy for myself. Unfortunately, our stay wasn’t long enough to enjoy all the amenities this beautiful home has to offer (home theater, game room, back patio). We will have to come back and stay longer. The hosts are very helpful and responsive to messages. The location was very convenient to the historic street (the back of the property shares an alleyway with the shops/restaurant). We all had breakfast on our own to explore the cute coffee shops and cafes along the street. It was nice that even the elderly people in our group could easily walk to town. There are a variety of shops to explore, antiques, sweets, and bike rentals nearby for the Katy trail. Lots of excellent restaurants are just a short walk away.

Amazing property and service!

The property is even better than the pictures - not a single detail is overlooked. Our family stayed the last two years with 8 adults and 1 child and there is still way more space for even more to fit comfortably. The location is amazing for walking historic main street, but close enough to drive elsewhere. The beautiful decorations and the amazing movie room and game room are our favorites. Wish we could stay longer! Thanks for an amazing 2 Christmas stays!

They have thought of everything! We felt so welcome in this home! Every inch of space is used for something and it is so well done. The theater room is amazing…watched a movie and my adult sons had a fun time of competing with video games. So close to Main Street!

St Charles 2024 Girls Trip

This property has so much to offer. Pictures don’t do it justice. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars. Plenty of on street parking, and additional parking available behind the house. Communication was great! They even left us a small tray of treats to welcome us. I would give this place a 10 star review if I could. Would definitely stay here again!

Historic Old St. Charles makes you feel like you've stepped back into yesteryear. We love the imperfect cobbled streets, friendly shops, and wonderful restaurants. We love that there are tons of fun things to do and see and that coffee and ice cream are only steps away every single day of the week.

What makes this property unique

We designed and named this property with Doug's mom, Linda Kay, in mind. She was an amazing hostess and country girl who grew the most amazing flowers, especially roses! This house has a beautiful blend of new and vintage, comfort and glam, because that perfectly reflects her and is the style that brought her joy. Linda moved to heaven in 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. We miss her and love to honor her amazing life and memory.

This house has something for everyone! From the littles to the greats...

There is plenty of space to gather and make epic memories and plenty of space to have your own quiet space.

Our Guests really love this house and many return year after year and call it "their vacation house." and that is the best compliment that we could ever get.
