Oceanside beach escape and remote work paradise!

Welcome to our recently updated 1 bedroom condo redone in 2022 to support a remote work paradise or a pure escape. One queen and one full-size fold-out couch are available with linens/towels provided. Our unit has a quiet and cool mini split A/C in the main room, portable A/C in the bedroom, smart TV with cable, cable internet, several places for workstations with extra computer monitors available, and a top-of-the-line Keiser m3i spin bike (uses regular sneakers or SPD cycle shoes). The complex offers a tennis court & a 1/2 basketball court, designated grilling areas, and onsite smartphone-operated laundry.

NOTE: For the security of guests and the property, a ring doorbell is located on the front door of the unit covering the area outside of the unit around the front door. The HOA may also place cameras at various points around the complex outside of the unit.

Like many, we never knew Topsail existed. Then we looked for a remote beach getaway that was not too busy but not completely isolated. We wanted to be not too south, but not too north. We landed in Topsail.

The residences at Topsail Reef, the community where this listing is found, provide a particularly unique Topsail experience. These buildings sit closer to the ocean than perhaps any other options on the island, and few other homes on the east coast. So close that new sandbags, as part of beach restoration efforts, are placed just under the buildings to keep the water at bay. At some higher tides, there is no beach at all and you have to go through a little water to get to sand or around to another beach access. This more southern Reef unit is just about a100ft north of a wider beach area where you can typically set up camp all day regardless of tides. Just a little further south are some dining options at the St. Regis, and a few miles south of that you'll find the Pier restaurant and Splash by the Sea. But walking to the north is a must as it will eventually take you away from all civilization and into an endless series of ankle-high lagoons.

When you are sitting on your balcony, it becomes even clearer why Topsail Reef is so special. The ocean is simply right there in your face and there is something uniquely therapeutic about just passing the time watching the tides change.
