Boho Bell Tent: BLISS IN THE FOREST
Imagine disconnecting from the grind of life and treating yourself to the biggest luxury of all: Time.
When you are a guest in the Boho Bell Tent at DEER LAKE WILDERNESS RETREAT you will understand why our moto is relax in nature, reflect on life, restore your soul.
GLAMPING AT ITS FINEST
Glamping is just like camping, only better! When you arrive your bed will already be made, all you'll have to do is unpack and chillax. The bell tent’s throw rugs and large windows create a boho vibe and ensure plenty of airflow. Lounge in the luxurious queen-sized bed and play cards at the table made for two in comfy beanbag chairs.
ENJOY NATURE ALL TO YOURSELF
The Boho Bell Tent is nestled in the secluded forest of our 10-acre paradise making it incredibly private. Your private deck is at the entrance to the forest where you can spend the day dining in the sunshine and reading in the hammock. Your kitchenette has all the essentials for making a meal on your own private grill, fresh spring water is provided.
WHILING AWAY THE DAYS FOR AS LOW AS $99
End your evenings by the campfire making s’mores, mesmerized by ‘nature’s TV’ as the coals dance late into the night. Then wake up to birdsong and repeat the experience! Even better is playing hooky on Monday, if you book the Stargazer Geodome for both Friday and Saturday night ask me how to extend your vacation for just $99 on Sunday night.
BETTER TOGETHER!
Create magical memories with family and friends by glamping alone and then coming together in our communal spaces. The communal barn oozes with rustic charm and has modern amenities such as WIFI, a kitchenette, a sitting area with comfy sofas, and a farmhouse table for gathering around to share a meal. Then take a mini adventure exploring the trails in our forest. Ask me how to SAVE 15% when you book more than one site at the same time.
AN OUTDOOR PLAYLAND
The Almaguin Highlands is a four season outdoor playland. In the spring, summer and fall visit our artisan galleries and enjoy water sports, hiking, biking, horseback riding, ATVing, and more. With your rental you’ll get a FREE Day Pass to access nearby provincial parks such as Mikisew which is located on Eagle Lake just 10 minutes away. Spend the day on the lake on one of three beaches (including a dog beach) swimming, fishing, canoeing or kayaking, then finish it off with a hike and a round of frisbee golf. Winter brings cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling right at your doorstep with dog sledding just 30 minutes away.
MAGIC AND MAIN STREET
We are a 20-minute drive from South River where you’ll find essential amenities and the Crystal Caves, the biggest mineral exhibit in Canada and the most magical crystal shop you will ever set foot inside, guaranteed. Check out the surrounding artisan village and then head to Sundridge (just another 10 minutes down the road) with a Main Street featuring quaint shops and nice restaurants.
OFF-GRID SERENTIY
The Boho Bell Tent is entirely off grid, cell reception in the area is excellent but there is no WIFI, this truly is your opportunity to disconnect! The lights are solar, and the lanterns are rechargeable with USB outlets on the back to recharge your phone. Your private composting loo is just steps from your front door and there are two shared hot water showers. Firewood can be purchased for $15 per night.
PETS WELCOME
Share your glamping adventure with your furry friend for a $50 pet fee. Your stay comes with a FREE park pass to nearby Mikisew Provincial Park which has a dog beach for your pooch to cool off.

About the host
Hosted by Sara Moore

With the purchase of Deer Lake Lodge in June 2021 I entered an exciting new chapter when I became a glampground proprietor (a.k.a. professional putterer).
I've rebranded it as Deer Lake Wilderness Retreat, and my vision is to create a community where my guests can relax in nature, reflect on life, and restore themselves. Phase A is complete with the establishment of a three site glampground, and phase B will be to introduce workshops with a focus on wellness.
Happy Glamping,
Sara
