About this property

Charming lakeside cottage to watch nature play

We love our cottage because it's set right in the quaint little town - a hop skip and jump to the bakery, ice cream and coffee shops and great little restaurants but feels extremely private. The views from our cozy front porch make us never want to leave. We get a regular show of ever changing wildlife. The neighborhood is friendly, quiet and safe. My friends say it reminds them of a place a Hallmark movie would be made, and then... a movie was made next door this past winter :)

The beds are comfy and decor is modern but
homey. Fishing is right out the front door. In the evenings, we cast a line from the shore.

Lovely Place

We love this place! The location was perfect for our family gathering in Iron Mt. Being Right on the lake made it a picturesque and peaceful weekend.

Secluded jewel

The cottage was very clean and inviting, with beautiful decor and special touches. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was very well outfitted, at a beautiful location. All of which made for a memorable experience.

Wonderful stay!

Our stay was incredible! The location on the lake was amazing and allowed our family time to play in the snow. The house is so inviting and we felt at home from the moment we walked in the door. Carmen was a phenomenal host, and we thank her so being so gracious.

Charming

Our group of 4 enjoyed the charm, comfort , and beauty. The porch and campfire area are private oases with stunning scenery. We walked to the local pub for a delicious old fashioned.

VRBO LAKESIDE

This is a hidden gem. Beautiful 3 bedroom with the cutest decor, fully functional kitchen, air conditioned, front and back porch, TV, games, scented soaps, ; even Brita water filter pitcher! Walking distance to bakery, coffee shop, restaurant. Carmen could not have been nicer to work with. I love the town of Florence. The people are exceptionally nice.

Cute Cottage

We enjoyed the solitude of this home. it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fairly well supplied. The only problem was the sound of the ATV park accross the lake and the semi trucks ocassionaly going through town. I was disappointed that the lake was not swimable...I should have asked that before booking - my fault. All in all, nice place to stay and the owner was easy to work with!

Wonderful rental and area

This rental is one of the best VRBO's we have stayed at. The home is well maintained, clean and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable. Very nice kitchen. (I do not cook on vacation (!) so cannot comment but it seemed very well equipped). Master bedroom bed very comfortable ! Very quiet neighborhood and you are very close to town with great bakery, Michaela Mays and a very cute ice cream shop. Barb's Cafe great for breakfast. The cottage has beautiful lake views and a great porch to enjoy the views from. Fenced in back yard is also nice. The Florence county area is great for hiking, water activity (canoes, kayaks, etc.), rapids and waterfalls. We are already looking forward to coming back. We would definitely recommend.

Great View

Sitting on the porch looking at the lake in the morning with a cup of coffee here is just perfect. Brought the family up for a small vacation before going back to school and had an amazing time. Fishing is good. Beds are comfortable. The place is just wonderful. Will definitely be staying again.

Lakeside cottage

We really enjoyed our stay and had a fun time exploring the area. House has everything you need and there is nothing better than enjoying your morning coffee with a lake view and hummingbirds. :)

Hidden Gem in Florence

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was comfortable, well stocked and the location was perfect. We were able to walk to several places for coffee, breakfast and more. Our favorite activity was enjoying coffee on the covered porch overlooking the lake every morning.

Great stay in Florence, Wisconsin

My two adult sons live in Asia. We always get away from Madison for a few days, when they come back home. We had never been to this part of Wisconsin prior to this trip. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful location. The cottage is beautiful with a great front porch overlooking the lake. Carmen was very nice. Would highly recommend for some downtime.

Clean and cozy home

Beautiful, cozy home that feels very private. We brought a paddle board and kids had fun on the lake. Lake bottom has a lot of seaweed, but did not deter family from going out on paddle board. One block from ice cream shop and bakery. We would definitely stay there again.

Coziest cottage ever!

Stayed for a girls weekend & we loved it. Cottage is clean. Location is great. Love that it’s on a peaceful cul de sac overlooking the lake. Definitely recommend & would stay again!

The porch is heavenly!

We enjoyed the 4th at Carmen’s cottage. Much time was spent on the awesome porch. We also enjoyed floating in the lake and watching the fireworks over the water. The cottage was well stocked and absolutely spotless! Carmen is super at communicating with renters. Don’t hesitate to book this rental.
