The Space:

The Regal Beagle is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath home in the centrally located subdivision of Driftwood, close to shopping, grocery stores, and restaurants! This home sleeps 8 comfortably and is perfect for small families. Enjoy stargazing on the window seat in the kitchen, or drinking coffee from a drip coffee pot on the large deck at sunrise.

You'll love the bright open-concept great room, with cute coastal decor and cozy furnishings! The kitchen is stocked with the cookware and utensils you need to prepare and serve meals, plus you have island seating as well as a dining table (perfect for meals or game nights). For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer in the home, as well as high speed internet.

The Regal Beagle has 1200 square feet of space, and easily sleeps 8. Bedroom one has a king bed and a futon/sofabed, along with an ensuite bathroom. Bedroom two features two twin-over-queen bunk beds.

In the large area under the house you will find ample parking, and a shaded entertaining area with a picnic table and charcoal grill. The Regal Beagle has all you need in one lovely package; come stay soon!

Small dogs (under 35 pounds) allowed with a pet fee. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age.

The homeowner does not provide linens and towels, but, if you choose, they are available upon request from our linen service (additional fee applies).

The home was excellent. The only thing is that the cleaning crew did not clean completely before we got there. Dirty linens were still there and the fridge was dirty. The bathroom rugs were dirty as well. I had to put them to wash.

House was spacious and very comfortable. Outside deck and table and chairs was great! Only suggestion would be to mark the step up to the front door with paint or something since it blends into the deck. Tripping hazard 😂 We give it a 5 out of 5!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our AC went out on Friday night of Labor Day weekend. Our kennel was already booked and temperatures within our home rose to 87. After the repairman informed us Saturday afternoon that parts wouldn’t be available until Tuesday afternoon, I anxiously started hunting for beach rentals in Texas. Remembering Swede’s Real Estate, I called and Michelle was able to find a house that was available and an owner who would allow us to bring our dog. We arrived on Sunday about noon, got the key, and headed to the house. It was in a perfect location, Driftwood, across from the Big Store and close to island essentials. We enjoyed the 2BR/2B & our time on the deck and inside living area when the rain came. Although not on the beach, it was a short walk over the pedestrian bridge and outside the neighborhood one street over was a road for beach access with your permitted vehicle. We think it would be great for us to rent again with our extended family.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For 12 years we've always rented with Swedes. This experience is no different. House was great, clean and as described. The only comment I could really make about this specific rental was the access to the beach- we had to drive around since it was blocked off the other side. I get it, if it was allowed it would be a thrufare for all. The neighbors also blocked access into the drive way for this home upon arrival but it was nothing that we couldn't request they move their vehicles and go about our business and not a reflection of this rental specifically. We fit 5 people comfortably in this rental and I would have to say this is one of my favorite homes and I hope the next owners continue with Swedes. I am also sad that the checkout times have changed and we lose a half day- this makes the line for the ferry rather long since everyone is checking out/leaving at the same time.

An Ideal Beach Getaway

Our stay at this Vrbo on the beach was absolutely fantastic! it was cozy, and just a stone’s throw away from the beach. Our group of friends couldn’t have asked for a better retreat. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior was tastefully decorated, providing a cozy ambiance that instantly made us feel at home. The Vrbo itself was well-equipped with all the amenities we needed. The bedrooms were comfortable, offering a good night’s sleep after long days of beachside fun. The kitchen was stocked with essential appliances and utensils, allowing us to prepare delicious meals and enjoy them together in the cozy dining area. Additionally, the host of this Vrbo was attentive and friendly, ensuring that our stay was pleasant and hassle-free. They were readily available to answer any questions and provided us with valuable local insights, helping us make the most of our coastal retreat. If you’re looking for a wonderful beach getaway with friends, this Vrbo is a hidden gem. Great location and space!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the layout of the space! The master was very large and had a Queen bed, and the other room had 2 bunks (queens on bottom, twins on top). The living/kitchen area was large with comfortable seating. We liked that it came with an amazon box, so we could watch tv in the evenings. Sitting up on the top deck in the evenings was fantastic. The proximity to the beach was great, as well as The Big Store! The downstairs shower was great for washing sand off when we got back each day! We also loved that this was pet-friendly!I would suggest renters also bring hand soaps, dish soaps (liquid and for the dishwasher), and sponges (in addition to paper goods, towels, and linens) since there was none provided.
