This Texas hill-country home offer everything you could want for you and your family and friends. Located in the quiet residential neighborhood of Oak Ridge, and surrounded by multiple golf courses, the 50' of secluded & calm canal shoreline make for easy docking of your watercraft, just yards away from the fun of open water. Propane fire pit - smores for the kids! A tandem kayak and two children's sit-on kayaks are provided for your use. East-facing stone patio all along waterfront with dock and slip for watercraft. Views from multiple deck levels, patios, and docks include open water, canal, and LCRA preservation land just across the canal. Bring binoculars to spot wildlife, including birds, ducks, deer, turtles, raccoons, roadrunners, and even fox. Growing up, our families spent several weeks every year with our cousins at our grandparent's waterfront homes. For my wife it was the Galveston shore, and for me it was the south branch of the Potomac in West Virginia.
Why they chose this property
We couldn't resist the opportunity this home gave us to one day provide the same memories for our family. Renting our home for family reunions is always extra special for us. We know we're helping create memories for your family, just like the memories which led us to buy this property!
What makes this property unique
Texas lake and river shores are often left dry as they battle the local climate. This home is on the shore of one of the very few constant level lakes in Texas, Lake LBJ. The Lower Colorado River Authority manages the dams along the Colorado River to keep this lake level constant year-round.
Another benefit of our location is the LCRA preservation land opposite us on our cove. It delivers a great view of water and preservation land from the back patio and decks, with common sightings of the hill-country wildlife that calls this preservation land home.
