Fantastic apartment near the beach for 4 people

Short version in Englisch!

You can reach our great apartment in "Platges de Fornells" via a staircase (with handrail, approx. 15 steps).

You enter the apartment directly on the terrace and come into the spacious living room with dining area and open fireplace.

The apartment has a small functional fully equipped kitchen (fridge / freezer, stove with ceramic hob, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, etc.).

The two bedrooms - one of them with sea view - can be reached via 2 steps. One bedroom is furnished with a double bed (1.50m), the other bedroom has two single beds.

The bathroom was renovated in the 2018 season and has a large walk-in shower with a glass front. There is also a washing machine in the bathroom.

You can use fans for the summer time and electric radiators for the cooler days in the transition periods.

Electricity, water, towels and bed linen in the apartment are provided once per stay and are therefore included in the price. The minimum stay is one week.

The final cleaning is a flat rate of € 95 and has to be paid separately, regardless of the length of stay.

The holiday complex "Platges de Fornells" is quiet and built in the Menorcan style. Shops (e.g. 2 supermarkets) and many restaurants are in the immediate vicinity and within walking distance.

The transfer time by car from / to the airport is about 25-30 minutes.

The charming little village of Fornells is 3 km away. Fornells lives from fishing for crawfish and crawfish and from tourism and is known for the fish soup "Caldereta de Llangosta" (even the Spanish king comes here!).

The sheltered Bay of Fornells offers ideal water sports for young and old - for the whole family.

The region is ideal as a starting point for excursions with a rental car and hiking tours.

Lovely apartment in a great location.

We stayed 11 nights (a family of 4) in the apartment and were very happy. It was clean and had everything we needed. It has a small seating area in front with a sea view, with only one other apartment on the same level, so fairly private. The water pressure is occasionally a little low, but that applies to the whole area, so nothing can be done about that. When we had a small problem Michael was very quick to sort it out, and was very helpful. Would certainly stay there again.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay. We struggled to find the apartment initially. It is almost opposite the signs for La Franola tapas bar, which is in the complex across the road. Parking in the spaces opposite was never a problem, there is on road parking there, and further along below the pool too. The whole area is quite hilly, but very peaceful and picturesque. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away, we found it unusual not to be able to get a drink or the loo whilst there though. One nearby restaurant opens from 1pm ish. Nearby complex facilities are for residents only. The supermarket is in the same area. The apartment itself is very cosy, very clean, and with everything you need. The WiFi is fast. The outside terrace is lovely with a sea view. The skies at night can be beautiful. Michael the owner was very attentive and returned messages immediately (I messed up my vrbo account! which caused several issues). He does prefer you to translate them to German via an app or Google Translate. We would highly recommend staying. The only negatives for us were the pillows were flat & lumpy, and the kettle could do with replacing.

Hello Lynne, thank you very much for your great review - I try it in English now ;-) The pillows are indeed a problem. We replace them every year at the beginning of June when the first guests arrive. The humidity often causes them to become lumpy. Many guests leave them outside on the chairs during the day. The kettle was replaced last year, but it doesn't look so great due to the hard water from the tap. Unfortunately, not all guests use the water from the large bottles (6 or 8 liters) for the coffee machine and kettle. We would be delighted to welcome you back as guests. Best regards, Michael & Ute

Le logement était propre à notre arrivée, bien équipé, un peu difficile de le trouver à 23h mais on y est arrivé ! La vue est splendide, le quartier est calme avec toutes les commodités, supermarché, restaurant, plage à 5 min à pied, le top. Il nous manquait de produit de base a notre arrivée, eau, huile etc. mais Mickael nous a expliqué, hôte très réactif ! Super sejour !

Très bon séjour à Minorque !

Michael a été un hôte très présent et a répondu à toutes nos questions ! L'appartement est idéalement placé et bien équipé (parasol et jeux de plage pour les enfants). Juste un petit bémol sur la cuisine un peu vieillotte mais sinon nous avons passé une très bon séjour.

Semaine idyllique

La région de Platges de Fornells est l'un des endroits les plus sauvages de Minorque. Un endroit idéal pour profiter de l'île. L'appartement est tout à fait conforme à l'annonce. La terrasse est particulièrement agréable et l'appartement reste frais malgré la chaleur. Les propriétaires ont été arrangeants quant à l'heure d'arrivée comme notre bateau arrivait très tôt le matin. Nous recommandons.

Jeder Zeit wieder

Nicht umsonst nennt man Menorca die Perle der Balearen. In dem wunderschönen Appartment von Michael und Ute war wir zu zweit für eine Woche. Wir konnten im September noch draußen herrlich frühstücken, die Sonne und die Aussicht auf das Meer genießen. Der Strand ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt und das Wasser ist noch im Spetember schön warm. Mit dem Mietauto ist man fix in den etwas größeren Städten oder an tollen Aussichtspunkten. Zwei Tagen waren wir wandern, was bei ca. 25 Grad schon eine sportliche Herausforderung war …. eine Woche ist leider viel zu kurz. Da wir nur mir Handgepäck gereist sind, war die Waschmaschine in dem Apartment Gold wert. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und nochmals lieben Dank für Eure schnelle Reaktion bei Fragen.

Echt super genoten.

Wij verbleven 18 dagen in dit appartement. Ligt in een leuk dorpje. Allemaal vriendelijke mensen. Communicatie met Micheal was super en snel. Michael is super behulpzaam. Het enigste kleine min puntje is de vochtigheid in Fornells zelf. Dit appartement is voor iedereen een aanrader!

Excelente esta cua

El apartamento de michael es perfecto para pasar unos días, la zona es muy tranquila y agradable. Las fotos son tal cual el anuncio. Tiene una terrazita muy agradable para comer. La única pega fue que algunos utensilios de la cocina no estaban muy limpios pero ya lo hablamos con Michael para futuras visitas. El siempre estuvo super atento a todas nuestras preguntas/ peticiones. Muy contentos en general de toda nuestra estancia!
