Beau, we're thrilled you enjoyed the house and its location! It was a pleasure hosting you, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime for another great stay.
This property is great for a large group of people. There is tons of fun stuff to do around the house and the kitchen is huge! There were a few things broken in the house but they didn't mess with our stay and the host said he would get them repaired before the next guests got there.
The house is spacious and filled with anything you could need. We watched the beautiful deer and enjoyed the big kitchen for awesome family meals. We definitely will be staying here again.

Cindy, it's wonderful to hear that you and your family enjoyed the spacious layout, the mountain views with deer nearby, and the big kitchen for shared meals. Those peaceful moments and cozy family gatherings are exactly what make this home special.
We’d love to have you back for another stay whenever you’re ready for your next mountain retreat.
We spent a long weekend with several families and had a wonderful time. It is wonderful place to use as a home base for hitting the slopes and for those who want a quite place by the fire.
Our family of five had THE best time at this amazing cabin!! So much to do, so comfortable and the house is simply fantastic. The hosts were equally amazing and we cannot wait to come back!
We loved the house. Great location. Lots of fun things to do. Plenty of space.

Thank you so much for your kind words Sarah! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the house and location. It's wonderful that you found plenty of fun activities and that the space met your needs. We hope to welcome you back again soon!
This house was exactly what we were looking for with our fall family gathering. Extremely clean, well stocked, lots of games to entertain the kids, and hot tub and fire pit for the adults! Each day we walked to the driving range to see the deer herds grazing and actually fed them by hand! Close to the Rec center and Beech Mtn resort. Will stay again!
I recently had a fantastic stay through VRBO. The property was exactly as described – clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive, which made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. From the booking process to check-out, everything was seamless. The location was perfect, allowing us to explore nearby attractions easily. I would highly recommend this property and VRBO for a hassle-free, memorable getaway. Can’t wait for my next stay

Safe travels until then!
This home was perfect for our family group of 18, ranging in age from 1 to 67 years old. We enjoy cooking, so the large gourmet kitchen was a nice treat. The big dining tables inside and outside allowed us to eat together. Grandkids of all ages enjoyed the variety of games found on the garage level and middle floor. The garage apartment was a perfect fit for my daughter and her husband and one year old twins. Easy access to things around Blowing Rock and Boone, we enjoyed many excursions during our stay. It was a wonderful week!

80th birthday family reunion
Plenty of room and clean. Property in need of some repairs and maintenance inside and out. Thought that there were to many stairs.
Great stay- owner is very responsive. Plenty of room for our group of 16. We had fun watching the golfers! Hundreds of deer too! Very quiet property. Will definitely be back. One note - the bathroom did not have (enough) toilet paper or hand soap so probably bring your own (not a big deal but since property is so far away from anything just thought I'd mention). Really cool house.
Dave was the absolute best!! We had such a wonderful host and house. Everything was absolutely perfect! Anytime we needed Dave he was quick to respond back! The kids really enjoyed all the game options they had because it practically rained the whole time we were there, so they really didnt get bored!! If our group size doesnt grow, we may be returning back to this same house next year if its available!!! I would 100% recommend this place!!
The house was perfect for our 18 member family vacation. Though it rained almost the whole week we were there, the host had plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied. Available to us was a pool table, foos ball table, small theater, ping pong table, and a hot tub. On rainy days we set up tournaments of pool, foos ball, and ping pong. The perfect steak house…Stonewalls! The host was quick to respond to emails when help was needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our crazy family. We are already making plans for a return trip.

Sadly, our family reunion was hampered by misrepresentations of the home.-front half of one kitchen stove worked!-theater chairs ripped -metal chairs broken backs-2 poker chairs broken-twin comforters ripped-kitchen bowls put away dirty-bolts on twin beds missing or loose -twin beds had salt or sugar in them-had to replace the flapper on one toilet-reattached the vent to the dryer-main kitchen oven on left was filthy-broom but no dustpan or mop-2 dish towels! 2 dirty pot holders-outside decks and walk had cobwebs and piles of leaves, no attempt to maintain walkwayOur 8 previous rentals through vrbo have been lovely for the family reunions, this was a disappointment! We have normal cleanliness expectations and have learned to bring supplies we need even to our favorite knives! The kitchen had 1 teaspoon, 8 knives, and 20 forks!Every turn was almost laughable! We bring many supplies with us but do expect to start off with a bottle of dish soap and hand soap in the kitchen… just the minimum!Probably 8 various pots and pans were usable and not with scratched nonstick surfaces. Our children and grands were happy to be together but did continue to report things dangerous like the wall outlet hanging out of the wall in the checkered comforter room! They know I take photos the first day of things in the home so we can leave the home in good or better shape than we found it.The owners are selling so we felt they only were doing the very minimum maintenance!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.
We take great pride in our home and the experience we provide our guests, which is reflected in the overwhelmingly positive feedback we've consistently received. While occasional maintenance or housekeeping matters can arise at any property, our team is committed to addressing them promptly and maintaining the high standards our guests have come to expect.
For clarification, both kitchen ovens were operational at the start of your stay, although an issue with one oven door arose and was subsequently repaired. The kitchen is fully stocked for large groups, and we've implemented additional inventory checks between reservations to ensure everything is properly accounted for.
Our longstanding track record of positive guest experiences, both before and after your visit, has remained consistent, with no similar concerns reported. We believe this reflects the overall quality of the property and the experience our guests have come to expect.
We genuinely appreciate your feedback and hope you'll consider returning to give us another opportunity to provide the exceptional experience that so many of our guests have enjoyed.
Lovely home.
Large and roomy for everyone to have space and not be on top of everyone all of the time.
The golf course made for a nice morning walk and the views of deer - spectacular!
The kitchen allows for plenty of cooks in the kitchen. We able to successfully pull off an entire Thanksgiving meal prepared in house together without issue. It was really nice for our family of 12.
Thank you so much.
Home provided an abundance of activities/ amenities to entertain everyone. The layout was perfect especially the main floor which allowed plenty of space to hang out during meals and while watching football games. Location was close to outdoor activities such as ski lift, winery, etc.
