This home was so cute, the town had a wonderful 4th of July celebration. The hot tin was so nice to relax in. The host was very nice and responsive to any questions. Had a wonderful time.
Dan and Court were super responsive and made sure everything went smoothly with our stay!! We loved the house and my group had a great weekend get away at Beech!
Cute little house. We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of towels and kitchen was decently stocked. We had everything we needed pretty much to cook meals. Hot tub was very nice.
This property was exactly as described. Perfect for a large family with dogs and young kids. It was good proximity to hiking, dining, and the town of Banner Elk. Dan was responsive to questions and made the check in process very easy. Our family really enjoyed our time in the NC mountains!
The house was spacious and our kids loved the game room! The hosts were quick to get back with me when we had questions.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
The new beds and pillows are terrific. Inside was clean, but Porches needed blowing and some garbage laying around. Its strange to have the hot tub on the road side but theres not much traffic anyway. Fire pit is on an awful hillside but they all are. This place is nothing but hair pin curves and steep driveways! Kitchen was ok. Change out your teflon cookware...nobody should have to use that anymore.
Wonderful house on Beech Mountain! I come every year & it’s one of the cleanest homes I’ve rented & would stay again. Kids enjoyed the game room & plenty of space for the whole family. Host was very helpful & responsive when I reached out. Thanks for a great stay!
Had a wonderful weekend at Beech Mountian. House was perfect for 3 families and plenty of space. Everything we needed and close to the ski resort. Dan was very easy to communicate with and made things easy for us. Would definitely stay here again. Great trip!
The house was great!! Everything we needed. The mattresses were great. Only complaint I had were the sheets had been washed one too any times with a few stains and balls on them!! Other than that, the house was delightful!!
Excellent cabin, very clean and great location! Everything was as advertised except the hot tub would not heat up but the property compensated me for it. Close to everything in beech mountain including the slopes. Very nice neighborhood and very quiet, nice place to get away from it all and would definitely recommend.
We came for a quick Land of Oz visit and had a great time. Parents enjoyed the hot tub, kids enjoyed the game room. We saw deer every morning and evening. The house is close to Fred's for breakfast and Brick Oven Pizza for lunch or dinner. We had more than enough space for our family.
We had an amazing time at Grizzy’s Chalet! The property was clean and well maintained, kitchen had everything we needed, plenty of blankets to stay warm, excellent views, and a very walkable neighborhood. We got to meet some of the local deer on our morning and evening walks, the kids sledded behind the house, we enjoyed fires in the fireplace. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and followed up quickly. We recommend checking out Fred’s, Bullwinkel’s, the sledding hill, Emerald Mountain Outdoors for hiking trails, the Roan Mtn Overlook and Sunset Park are excellent in the setting sun. This is a great place, and we would definitely return!
The house was very clean and the perfect location plenty of room for everyone and we loved the game room. But by far our favorite part was all of the wildlife the deer were gentle and would get so so close to us we also had a bear family come by and a skunk and raccoon it was amazing Dan and Kort were awesome host they checked in with us several times and wanted us to have a wonderful time and if there was anything we needed, also wished us a safe trip home. Will definitely be staying here again.
Beech Mountain is great year-round. We rented this property in the late fall -- leaves had fallen and before the snow (or so we thought). The chalet was great... lots of room, well appointed, technology-rich, and a great place for families to get away!
The main room is open and has enough seating for most of the group (we had 12, but never had everyone watching the TV). On the other side of the fireplace was a table for six... great for games, puzzles or a meal. The kitchen had all the things we needed. There was even a coffee maker that ended up being a hit for hot water for hot chocolate!
The bedrooms are a normal size, but with a great selection of various beds to meet your needs -- two kings, two queens and a room with two bunkbeds (four twins). Downstairs is a fun game room with foosball and video games.
The location is near the top of Beech, so in the winter, it would be easy to get to the ski resort (bring your 4x4 vehicle). In the other months, there are fun trails all throughout the neighborhood. We saw tons of deer, but no bears.
After any hike or a day on the slopes, make sure you get back to enjoy the hot tub on the front deck. It works great and does wonder for aching muscles -- or to just warm up!
Great property, great location, great owners. Highly recommend this one for your next trip to the High Country!
