If You Just Want To Slow Down And Relax The Deck Is A Good Place To Sit And Watch The Sunset. You Can Walk Mowed Trails On The Property And Enjoy Nature. You May See Deer Turkeys Or A Number Of Other Animals. You Can Pick Wild Blackberries In Season. You Can Sit On The Deck And Watch The Amish Farmers Work The Fields. Have A Cook-Out With The Gas Grill Then Sit Around A Campfire And Watch The Stars. If You Stay During The Winter Months You Can Use The Provided Sleds On The Hill Behind House, Or If You Have Skis Bring Them Along. In The Fall When The Trees Turn Colors Is A Great Time To Enjoy Hill Country Haven.


Local Attractions: We Are Located Within Easy Driving Distance Of Many Attractions. There Are Three Local Lakes For Boating Or Fishing. There Are Streams For Trout Fishing Or Canoeing. We Are Three Miles From Public Hunting Land. The State Bike Trails Start Seven Miles Away. Public Snowmobile Trails Start Within One Half Mile. There Are Golf Courses, Theaters, A Drive-In Theater, Farmers Markets, (In Season) And, Antique Shops. We Are Within Easy Driving Distance Of Wisconsin Dells With All The Water Parks, Amusement Parks And Boat Tours. The Ho Chunk Casino Is Also An Easy Drive.

We enjoyed our stay at this small farmhouse! The home was clean and tidy, with good hot water and everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The beautiful trails were a highlight. Our host communicated well and was responsive to our needs. We did encounter some wild life—a small reminder of country living. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated the host’s care and hospitality.

We have been coming out here since 2016 and it has always held a very special place in our heart. We visit many places and enjoy the Driftless region. This home and location is particularly peaceful. Highlights include the beautiful path behind the home, large deck with grill and yard games, the Amish passing by and bringing our fur babies. Loren is always so easy to communicate.

This is the third year we’ve spent time at the Hill Country Haven. As always, the home was spotless and the stay was quiet and restful. If you’re looking for a place with gorgeous views of the Driftless hills and little noise other than the from the occasional horse drawn buggy, this is your place.

The property is secluded, peaceful and surrounded by nature. We enjoyed the deck and grill with perfect views of the sunset. The location is ideal for exploring the Driftless region.

Wonderful house, our third year in a row staying here. Two minor quibbles: Kitchen and bathroom could probably use a deep cleaning, and the compressor in the air conditioner in the bedroom rhythmically thrums when it's running, making it distracting if you're a light sleeper. But as I said, minor minor issues.We love this house, can't wait to come back.

This property is gorgeous and the area is unbelievable. The photos do not do it justice! It is quiet and quaint and a bit like the land that time forgot. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property or this part of the country.

I relaxed the minute my husband and I walked into the door. I was so happy to see the comfortable furniture that lets you put your feet up. I’ve been in too many that have the uncomfortable futons. We rented to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and it couldn’t have been any better. Being in this farm house and seeing the barn brought back a lot of good childhood memories. It was very clean and has many updates but love that it didn’t lose the farm house charm. I would highly recommend to anyone to stay here. We had a very nice campfire out back both nights. It was so nice and relaxing, and hearing the owl hooting and the frogs singing, music to our ears. Couldn’t have been any better, thank you so much for sharing your home with us! Would stay again!

Had a wonderful time the days that we were here. Beautiful countryside. Loved all the room we had to roam around the property. We enjoyed the walking trails and so did my dogs. I would move here in a heart beat.
