culture of trust that when these turtles, catfish, and bream see a person coming to
the pier, they assume we are there to feed them, not catch them. BUT, there are
plenty of bass at the end of the pier for bass fishermen.

Host was great - very responsive and detailed on how to check in. The house was perfect - cozy and host left us with a lot of things to use during our stay (bottled water, kayaks, floats, etc). Definitely a 10 out of 10 experience!

Wonderful!!!!

We had the absolute best weekend at this lovely cabin. It was cozy and clean and had everything we needed! We loved eating on the porch. The owner was super easy to connect with and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. I’d give it 10 stars if I could!!!

Great spot on lake martin

Easy to get in and out. Close to boat ramp. Central to everything we wanted to do on the lake. Fish, swim and eat.

Wonderful cabin and host!

Cabin was very clean, cozy and well equipped. We enjoyed boating and spending time on the dock. The fire-pit was nice in the evening and gas grill was a plus! I can’t say enough nice things about John, the host! He was very attentive and had lots of restaurant and shopping recommendations. We can’t wait to go back!

Great Place Great Host!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Pleasure Point! Very cozy cabin in a great location. We rented a pontoon boat from John, the host. The kids even skied behind it. Highly recommend the cabin, the boat, and the host! Rent or bring a boat & get out and really enjoy beautiful Lake Martin! We plan to return many times.

Perfect!

This cottage was perfect for our family. We enjoyed spending time on the screened in porch when we were not out on the lake with the boat we rented from Mr.Johnny. The host was very thorough and has thought of everything.

Relaxing Lake Getaway

This place was perfect! The property owner was very helpful and attentive. The place was just as described and extremely clean. They had instructions for everything and extra amenities throughout. The house sits back in a little cove and they have created an estuary for turtles and catfish. I sat for hours feeding the fish and turtles. It was the most relaxing vacation we have had in awhile and will definitely book again.

Peaceful Paradise

Adorable cabin with amazing outdoor spaces! Screened porch overlooking the lake was magical! Wildlife galore in a peaceful cove, with direct water access. Kayaks and canoe provided, fire pit with wood provided, boat rental available. Restaurants, grocery stores, directions, and all necessary information provided with ease. Wonderful communication! Will be making this an annual birthday retreat!

Great all around experience

A+ all around. Homeowner was super helpful and great communicator with excellent hospitality. Cabin was a perfect three bedroom lake getaway with easy access to boat rental. House was clean, well organized and perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed boating, swimming and kayaking on the lake and feeding their 30 turtles on their dock that are like pets. Highly recommend and the perfect distance if you are visiting Auburn. We fell in love with Lake Martin. We will be back!

The house, porch and property were very clean. The host anticipated everything that a guest would need and had it ready for us including shampoo / toiletries, fire-starter bricks, a refrigerator filled with ice cold bottled water and sun screen. Any information that we needed was clearly communicated both inside the lake house and electronically. The lake house was charming and beautifully designed. I felt like I stepped back in time to a rustic (but posh) summer cabin on a lake. I loved the shaded property, feeding the turtles, the party lights and the screened doors.

Amazing!!

Me and my family really enjoyed the stay , there was food to feed the fish , house full of pots, pans and utensils to cook with. The Cabin looks just like the pictures but as for the feel that you get being at the cabin you can’t beat that it felt like you were inside a book. the screened in porch was definitely a hit for our group and being able to have the ability to have a fire and roast marshmallows was amazing for us. Already talking about going again soon !!!

Annual adult trip

This lake cabin was the cutest! It was so clean and had everything we needed and more! The ecosystem was one of my favorite parts! The owners went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! Highly recommend .. with or without kids.

Awesome location. The perfect rustic getaway. The host is the best we've had through VRBO so far, and we've stayed at multiple places on Martin. We will definitely book again.

Lovely Getaway

great time!

stayed over the AU v GA football weekend and had a great time! The cabin was perfect for what we needed and only about 40 minutes from the stadium. Beautiful view of the lake and very relaxing, feeding the turtles and catfish was a trip! Will definitely look into staying again on our next ballgame weekend.

Labor Day stay

We had a great time. Home was very clean, well maintained and stocked. We loved having a boat, kayaks, lily pad and canoe available for use. The wildlife was great to watch and interact with. It is a beautiful cove and it was very peaceful and relaxing! Also, neighbors were great!

Short but sweet stay

Our family and friends’ family really enjoyed our peaceful stay for a weekend in July. We spent most of the time outdoors and really enjoyed the complimentary Lilly pad, canoe, and kayaks. Communication with John was supreme. He also allowed us an early check in, which was a plus for us traveling from Florida with two 3 year olds! We’d love to return next year, but will have to wait until our next bundle of joy turns 3! The only complaint we had was the door handles being so close to the latches. They were very difficult to turn without resulting in knuckle injuries. Lastly, we respect and fully agree with the notion of outdoor cameras, but did not see that noted in the VRBO profile. Thanks again John for a great weekend vacation spot right on the lake!

Awesome Host

John was very thorough and informative before and during our stay. We had an issue with the AC upon arrival, and John had someone there and fixed within an hour. Everything was exactly as described. My kids loved feeding the fish & turtles at the dock. The location is great. It’s secluded, but still close enough to drive to a store if you need anything.

Family getaway

The house was great. It had all the amenities needed. The owner was nice. There was plenty of entertainment for the water. The only things that were spotty was the TV which kept resetting itself and the shower drain which was a bit slow. We had to wait in between uses for the water to drain.
