The apartment has an amazing view & this is what made us book it up. The communication with the owner is non existent. We requested a top floor apartment (but this was not even replied to via the message service & upon arrival we were allocated a bottom floor one. We had to pay for bedding & towels or bring our own, this has never happened to us before.The major issue was that we were supposed to be contacted to make the payment for the apartment & this was never made. No communication was received at all. The day before we arrived the caretaker text us asking us to bring cash to make the payment for the accomodation charge. This is illegal in Spain to make/accept payments over 1000 euros. We, however had no choice. We contacted Vrbo who contacted the owners - they said they would contact us. But as usual NO contact was made at all.It was all very odd & we were worried we would have an apartment to stay at.The apartment was there & the caretaker checked us in. However it was not as shown in the photos. It was dirty (as per photos)& there was lots of things missing that the Spanish authorities require as law to enable landlords to rent apartments out. They did not have air con in all the rooms - only in the front room. So we had to leave all the doors open. Which didn't really achieve the required temperature at night in the bedrooms. There was no licence details on display. New rules from 1/7/25 state this is a legal requirement. This landlord is not abiding by the law.
