Shame on VRBO.
The day after we could cancel, we received a list of extras and the cost for each. We already paid for the "linen package", two bath towels, two hand towels, two pillow cases, and a fitted sheet. Blankets were worn. Toilet was running and pipes banged until we turned valve off to sleep. We spent parts of two days cleaning up piles of dog hair and gold glitter everywhere, even in dirty pool which was unusable. First shower ended up with inches of water in tub, hours later, still not draining. Plumber needed. House is shared. Bedrooms and bathrooms next to back wall. People nextdoor woke every day at 0600 and we heard everything through the wall. When they left for work, dog stayed at home, barking at us. We were told we could leave security bars unlocked, but the locks on sliders were missing parts and didn't lock. Cabinet above front door was half filled with shoes, some without a match. Bedroom cabinets filled with junk so no room for shirts, socks, or anything. Bedding was tossed in a heap in closet. Kitchen was a mess. Dried food on almost everything. We cleaned just what we needed and left the rest. Gas stove, but no ventilation for CO2. We opened windows to vent. Only smoke detector, didn't work.
The pictures are very old. White rock's now have weeds growing everywhere. Grass was over a foot high. Wish I could load pictures of the mess as I took a lot. Whoever owns this property, just doesn't care.
