Artist house with fantastic sea views in an absolutely quiet location on Sheeps Head on the Wild Atlantic Way, ideal for exploring West Cork and the Irish southwest coast.

The country house is located about 3 km outside of Durrus on a large property with its own driveway.
It has 3 bedrooms, one on the ground floor with a large double bed and a shower. Upstairs there are two ensuite bedrooms, one with 2 double beds and a bathroom with tub, and a bedroom with 1 double bed, 1 single bed and a baby bed, and a bathroom with shower.
From almost all rooms and from the terrace you have a beautiful view of the sea, the mountains from Sheeps Head and across Dunmanus Bay to Mizen Head.

This is a really lovely house with amazing views and a very helpful host. We had a fantastic break and the house is ideally located to explore the Sheep’s Head peninsula. 100% recommend.

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful, quiet location. We were able to take a long hike around sheep’s head peninsula just by walking to the end of the driveway. We had a great time here!

Lovely stay

The house and area are gorgeous. It’s a quiet location with a beautiful view. We enjoyed the house and our kids played away in the backyard. We explored the area and loved our stay. We’d definitely go back.

Absolutely beautiful house in a special, gorgeous location! Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the gorgeous landscape of West Cork. Wonderful house with plenty of room and all the extras you could possibly need.

Wow, we were very impressed with this home. Beautiful setting with a gorgeous view of the sea from the back patio. Kitchen and living areas were set up great. Highly recommend!

We spent two nights in this wonderful house. It was clean and spacious and we had cosy nights by the fire. The location on the Sheep's Head is spectacular. The magical light and morning Winter sun was breath-taking. I ate breakfast outside accompanied by a lovely robin. Taschi was a very warm and welcoming host.

Remote Retreat with family

We had a very pleasant stay at Taschi‘s House. From here, we explored Sheep‘s Head, Mizen Head and Bantry. Taschi was very welcoming and helpful. She and a friendly neighbor even pulled our car out of a ditch.

Clean house, everything you needed was available. Access easy and comfortable. Extremely quiet and beautiful nature around, very peaceful, fantastic view onto the Atlantic. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Food shopping in 15 minutes driving distance, good restaurants nearby. Worth a detour was Dede restaurant in Baltimore.

Beautiful Spot

The house is amazing and the view from the terrace is simply stunning. The house has place to spare for a family of 4. Bantry - for all amenities and great food - is 15min by car. Durrus (with a few nice pubs and a village grocer) a good 5 minutes. Sheep‘s Head is a gorgeous and not too straining walk with Beara and Mizen Head also within reach for a day trip. Very highly recommended!

Somewhat disappointing

Good location, excellent view. Had to ask for pillow, blankets and sheets. Only 1 towel per person. Had to ask for paper towels and toilet paper. They advertised a washer and dryer but we did not have access to it. They would take our laundry and return it the next day.

In 4 years of hosting I never made such an experience: you arrived much too early without asking about early check-in and we friendly let you in. the beds were prepeared like always with 2 pillows and 1 warm allyear-round duvet per person but you asked for more and we gave that immediately to you. Every guest gets always 2 towels and you had them, too. So your review is wrong. After you left we found 3 towels unused !! When staying 2 days you asked for more towels and you got them immediately, so I don´t understand what you are complaining. We were always giving you directly what you asked for, always very friendly, and sorry, we had never before guests who needed per person 2 duvets, several pillows and several warm blankets. I can understand when older guests might feel a bit cold in irish autumn but we have central heating and it seems not fair to blame us that we didn´t know your special wishes upfront without telling us before. On arrival day at 4pm you had all the stuff you where asking for additionally. We were doing your laundry and also the laundry of a person that arrived additionally without being mentioned in the booking. The house has always kitchen and toilet paper in the beginning for one week and most guests buy some more when staying longer then a week. Again we gave you more paper when you asked for and therefore we got such a bad review? We are not a hotel but a self-catering holiday home. Despite this we try to fulfill our guests wishes.

Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, hat sicher immer um das Wohl des Gastes bemüht. Sehr schönes, großes Haus, Lage ist toll. Wir waren zum ersten Mal in Irland und der erste Eindruck war perfekt. Wenn wir wieder in der Gegend wären, würden wir dieses Haus wieder buchen.

Traumhafte Unterkunft

Wir (Eltern + Kind & Großeltern) waren super zufrieden mit der Unterkunft! Taschi und ihre Schwestern Panea haben uns liebevoll empfangen. Das Haus hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Besonders hervorheben muss man die unglaubliche Sauberkeit, die guten Betten und die Liebe zum Detail. Der Ausblick ist traumhaft. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt! Ein Traum

Wir durften 4 wunderschöne Wochen in diesem außergewöhnlichen Haus verbringen. Taschi hat es mit viel Liebe zum Detail und Geschmack eingerichtet. Zur Begrüßung gab es eine Flasche Wein und Blumen und für den Hund stand ein Napf mit Hundewein parat. Bei der Ausstattung haben wir nichts vermisst. Unser Hund war schockverliebt in den großen, eingezäunten Garten, dem sie immer noch nachtrauert. Taschi und Pavea standen immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Unvergesslich bleiben die Nachmittage bei strahlendem Sonnenschein auf der Terrasse. Der Ausblick ist atemberaubend. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es viel zu entdecken. Tiefenentspannt sind wir zurückgekehrt. Danke.

Wunderbar!

Wir haben im August eine Woche mit unserer Familie im Haus von Taschi verbracht und uns dort ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt! Das Haus ist in einem sehr guten Zustand und es fehlt an keinerlei Ausstattung. Der Blick vom Haus und der Terrasse auf das Meer ist umwerfend und wir haben dies sehr genossen. Erholung pur!

Wir waren begeistert. Das Haus liegt idyllisch und ruhig etwas außerhalb, mit fantastischem Blick auf die Bucht. Ein Auto ist von Vorteil.Taschi hat das Haus liebevoll eingerichtet, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Bei Fragen konnten wir uns jederzeit an sie wenden. Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt und werden eines Tages wieder kommen.
