We’re Megan and Jim, the husband-and-wife team behind **JMC Retreats**, and hosting is truly a labor of love for us.

We’re both Virginia natives and have always been drawn to old homes with stories to tell. Megan comes from a background in healthcare, event coordinating, and real estate, while Jim brings years of hands-on contracting experience. Together, we restore historic homes with care—preserving their character while thoughtfully updating them to be comfortable, functional, and welcoming for modern guests.

We love hosting because we genuinely enjoy creating spaces where people can come together. Family reunions, milestone celebrations, weekend getaways, and even annual traditions have all taken place under this roof, and it’s an honor to be part of those moments. We’re especially passionate about being **pet-friendly**, because to us, family includes four-legged members too.

Unlike many large rentals, The Bagley House was designed with togetherness in mind. There’s room for everyone to spread out—multiple living spaces, a cozy parlor, a bar room, and a dedicated theater room—yet it still feels warm and inviting. The chef’s kitchen, complete with double ovens and two refrigerators, makes hosting family meals and celebrations easy and enjoyable.
