We had a lovely time staying at the house. The pool was great for the kids, the house was spacious with huge windows. The lawn Was big and private. Will return!

The house itself is roomy and accommodated 4 adults. The property itself has some treacherous basement stairs and “hilly”, uneven terrain. We are all seniors. Some of us needed assistance navigating the uneven land. The cabinets were completely disorganized and we had to wash the dishes and wipe the surfaces before using anything. The pool was filthy when we arrived on Saturday and cleaners were unavailable until Monday afternoon so we missed out on 2 full days in the pool. The realty company was responsive so no problems there and the pool company they sent did an outstanding job. I had messed up the thermostat when I arrived - inadvertently locked it. The realty company was able to contact the owner who reset it via wifi. We all found the furniture comfortable and having just one television was not an issue. In general the decor was unwelcoming. There was tons of empty space on the built in book shelves that wrapped around the living room. There wasn’t one picture on the wall. Looking at other reviews that doesn’t seem to bother others. I felt it was cold and showed a lack of interest in guest’s comfort. We won’t be returning.

Bright cottage with privacy

Our family of four loved this cottage! Large windows and lots of light, and still very private. Pros: clean, lovely garden, lots of character, and a great pool. Cons: a few of the mattresses weren’t so great, and we had to pickup/drop off a house key (instead of keypad entry). Overall, we highly recommend!
