The Neighborhood:

Stroll through streets of bungalows and beautiful historic homes on your way to the Downtown Square. Walking/jogging trails are a short jog or drive away, as well.

The house is very close to I75 which is the corridor for almost anything you could want or need.

Allen Outlets and shopping are a 10 minute drive from the house.

There are many grocery options nearby including a Trader Joe’s, WinCo, and Walmart Marketplace.

Families can check out the nearby Heard Museum.

Getting Around:

The neighborhood is very walkable but you will need a car for mostly everything else.

Other Things to Note:

No smoking, please.

This property is kid friendly but please use caution on the decks as there is no railing.

I hire a professional spraying company for the yard. The spray dries within 30 minutes and is not harmful to pets or children. However, especially in the Summer, I recommend additional bug spray.

Interaction with Guests:

I work for an airline and will probably be flying during your stay. However, I am usually available by text (even in the air) with questions and have family very close by that can run by if something is needed.

Exceeded our Expectations

Our stay was wonderful. We absolutely loved the way it is decorated. My teenagers could not have liked it more. Even better than the pictures. There is not a single thing I would want changed. The outdoor area was very peaceful and relaxing. Kitchen has staples which was great. For eg, I did not have to buy olive oil when we picked up groceries. Even had a first aid kit (we needed a bandaid). Had tea, not just coffee. Have to drive from here to downtown historic McKinney, but it is a quick drive and parking available there. Quiet street. Daughters want to stay here again the next time we visit family in McKinney.

Cottage in old McKinney

The house was so quaint with a retro repurposed look to it. Loved the antique vibe and the old art. Propert yowner was very accomodating and helpful. I would stay there again!
