We invite you to come relax and unwind on our large wrap around deck while sipping your morning cup of joe or enjoying a glass of wine in the evening as you breath in nature and all that it entails! Shady Tree Hideaway has all the charm while providing our guests with up-to-date amenities for a truly relaxing getaway.

This newly renovated cabin features an oversized deck with outdoor table and chairs, propane grill, firepit and custom cornhole set, ample parking and over 4 wooded acres to enjoy. The ground floor consists of a large family room complete with a 7 foot combination pool/ping pong table, large sectional sofa and wall mounted TV. Also enjoy the ground floor king sized bedroom with large ensuite bath and full laundry also accessible directly off the family room. The first floor features an open floor plan with a second living room including a sectional sofa, club chairs and wall mounted TV, dining table with seating for 8 and kitchen complete with granite counters and all the necessities along with a large queen sized bedroom with neighboring full bath. On the upper floor you will find one queen sized bedroom with walkout balcony, second bedroom with 2 twin beds and a 2 piece washroom.

Great house for family

This 4 BR house was perfect for me and my husband, my daughter and son and law and my granddaughter. The ground level has a King BR with private (luxurious) bath. There's also a small living area and a pool table on that floor. The main floor is upstairs with a Queen bed and full bath across the hall, on the same floor with the kitchen, living room and dining area. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms with a half bath. The house is wonderfully appointed with lots of kitchen pots, pans, bowls, etc. and plenty of towels and other supplies. Everything was nice and clean. We were very comfortable. The house worked well for the 5 of us, but considering it potentially sleeps 8 people, could use an extra comfy chair or two in the living room. But there are plenty of dining chairs and counter stools to fill in the gap. The area is so nice and peaceful and the house itself is very private.

Clean, like-new property!

This home is one of the cleanest, best equipped VRBO locations I've ever seen. It was spotless and just about everything worked perfectly (something I've found to be uncommon!). We were able to spread out, with a king bedroom suite downstairs. Comfortable bed, excellent bathroom. The children could play ping-pong, etc. in the adjoining playroom. On the main level there's another nice bedroom and bath, with a spacious greatroom and large dining table. The kitchen is well equipped. The huge deck got a lot of use, especially the hammock! Limited TV capabilities, but the wifi is good and I brought my own FireStick so we could watch college football! Upstairs are two bedrooms, ideal for the kids. There's a half-bath up there. One of the bedrooms has its own balcony. The location is quiet and heavily wooded. We saw a family of deer outside the kitchen window one morning. One downside (which may actually be an advantage, depending on your point of view) is the distance to "town". It's 20-30 minutes to a grocery store or restaurant. Communication with the owner was good, once VRBO got me the phone number. The app/website would not let me login so I had to call customer service and explain (repeatedly) my request. Frustrating, but that's a VRBO problem not related to this property. An appliance breakdown was handled as well as could be expected over a holiday weekend.

Youth leadership training

We find a perfect cabin for our winter youth leadership training. The cabin was spacious, clean, comfortable, beautifuly decorated. It had a dining room table for 8, a well stocked kitchen even with hot cocoa as well as fun board games in the basement with a pool/ping-pong table. We enjoyed the fire pit outside as well. (in January) Thank you!

Wonderful cabin in the woods

We are a couple looking for a place to stay in between Hancock MD and Hedgesville WV for a weekend to visit family. This cabin is super clean, looks brand new on the inside, and is very comfortable. The owners, Vanessa and Paul, are helpful and respond quickly. They have thought of everything you might need for your stay. Highly recommend renting their cabin. It's a short drive to Martinsburg and Berkeley Springs.
