This gorgeous home sits in the midst of 120 acres and is perfect for larger families, groups, reunions, small weddings. Bring your dogs and walking shoes - they love the trails on the property.

Take a moment to gather yourself, family, and friends and leave your busy lives behind for a quiet break in the hills of West Virginia. Heart Hill House is near charming and historic Berkeley Springs, WV, and conveniently located near the DC/Baltimore metro areas, yet secluded enough to escape from the fuss of city life.

Our 3200 sq.ft. home offers spacious accommodations and will welcome you with cozy beds, luxurious seating in the Family and Sun room, enclosed porch or large outdoor deck and fire table. Sit on the wraparound screened porch and take in the pastoral views or grill out for dinner. Bring your kids, your friends, and family for a relaxing vacation.

The basement level offers a variety of amenities including Pool Table, PingPong table, Foosball, card/puzzle/game table, and Fitness Room. The basement also has a private bedroom / office with additional sleeping capacity, its own entrance and a bathroom.

Everything you need for some time away can be found here, whether you are looking for a family game night in the Fireplace room, cooking outside on the fire ring, walking the trails, or taking in some local entertainment and dining.

Originally a 1912 farm house, this elegant home has been luxuriously expanded to a spacious retreat. Easy to find and drive to, privacy, walking trails and gorgeous country views await you at Heart Hill House.

Nearby is charming Berkeley Springs where a relaxing and quaint weekend may be found while enjoying its many shops and fine restaurants on the main streets. A couple miles south is the magnificent Cacapon State park where a great lodge, golf, horseback riding, and a small lake with beach and paddle boats is available.

Rates and Accommodations: The nightly rate is set for eight (8) guests which is less than the “maximum” capacity of the house. Extra guests can be accommodated with a modest increase to the nightly fee. The “maximum” number of guests is based on typical couples’ usage of bedrooms and pull-out sofa bed(s). Use of additional airbeds, tents, or campers can be discussed.

Long weekend getaway.

The property is wonderful. It’s a great place to get together with family and friends. There was plenty of room for four couples and two adult children. The host was very accommodating. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Beautiful and Peaceful

We just finished up our 2nd stay at Berkeley Ridge and it was another amazing few days. The house is clean and well stocked. The trails were peaceful to walk and fun for the grandkids to explore. They had fun with the many toys and games in the house when we weren’t on the trails. It’s such a peaceful family getaway. We’ll be back next year.

Perfect craft retreat

Beautiful, clean, dog friendly. We had 7 ladies doing multiple crafts. They had extra tables & chairs in the garage that were perfect for crafts. We took advantage of the trails on the stunning peoperty! And even thoigh its remote, door dash delivered

Wonderful gem for a getaway

A few friends and I rented this house for a weekend getaway and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, has a fully stocked kitchen, and has lots of space for visiting, group meals, and relaxing. It was rainy the weekend we went but we still had a great time indoors.

Perfect in every way

We celebrated my husband‘s 80th birthday playing pool, ping pong and chess, a mini concert, and cooking. So much to do that we found we didn’t sleep enough! Highlights: Chris greeted us warmly and gave us a tour—a really awesome guy. The kitchen is well appointed. Plenty of room to spread out. Views are spectacular.

Great family weekend

We enjoyed a wonderful, restful vacation with family, including babies and children and two dogs. The house was inviting, clean and full of everything we needed. The property was huge and gorgeous. We enjoyed many walks through the trails. The basement games and the board games were a great bonus for all ages. We will come back again.

Berkeley Springs Family Celebration Weekend

This property is beautiful. We rented both the Heart Hill House and the Barndominium and used the house for most of our family celebrations including a wedding on Sunday. We all felt like the house was our home away from home and it was a spectacular backdrop for all of our festivities. Lots of space, comfortable beds, and wonderful hosts who were very attentive. We will come back!

New Year's Eve Get Together

The house was very beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. Everything we needed was readily available. I had 10 people in my party and there was plenty of room for everyone to move around. The gameroom was a plus. The owners were very friendly. You can tell there is pride in ownership of this property. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful

The owners have clearly taken great pride in making sure that the guests are absolutely comfortable. We felt like we were staying in paradise. We wanted for nothing because everything was there as needed . They even provide small blankets in case you are chill in the evening. The owners were wonderful to interact with and their highest priority was our best time ever. We have decided to make this a yearly event.and maybe even more. Beautiful & clean and peaceful.

Fall Birthday WOW

The home is beautiful! Everything is setup with such care to ensure our comfort. From supplying coffee and paper goods to comfortable beds, couches and chairs. They even supply fishing gear to catch and release at the pond. Morning sunrises to evening sunsets the view is amazing. You can hike or relax in the rocking chairs on the deck. Game room is stock with something for everyone. We had people from 95 to 11 and everyone enjoyed the entire weekend. The kids are planning their next visit.

Perfect Place

Wow what a great location and wonderful home. Aaron and Jennifer were thoughtful hosts and easily communicated to all our questions. More than enough room for us (two couples). Large room’s spacious closets and plenty to do inside (pool table, ping pong, foosball a gaming table and an assortment of games. The property is a secluded 120 acres to enjoy, exploring the trails and fishing in the lake. The beautiful surroundings allowed us to relax and enjoy all the various woodland creatures and the beauty of creation. We were close to Capapon state park, the Potomac River and the town of Berkeley Springs WV. We had a great time and would love to come again Mike

Perfect!!!

We stayed at this property for our daughters wedding. It was beyond amazing and made the perfect place for the entire bridal party to include groomsmen to get ready as well as all the photographers and videographers (the bride and groom stayed true to not seeing each other and this house was large enough to accommodate…the house is just that big) as well provided the most gorgoeus backdrop for photos. Some of our guests even rented the barndominium next door. We plan to return to enjoy the peace and quiet this property exudes!! Property owners were fantastic, quick and accommodating in responding! Thank you soooo much for your hospitality. Words cannot say enough about your property. Simply, perfect!!

Idyllic, unforgettable, amazing

This property and owners will not disappoint! In fact, both will exceed your expectations. The spectacular views are in every direction with big windows, a screened-in porch, and a deck to see them wherever you are. The home is beautiful and well furnished from the furniture to the kitchen cupboards, from the power strip beside your bed to the basket of doggy towels at the front door, from a perfect place to read anywhere to the basement game-room… Everything is comfortable and thoroughly clean. The owners are so gracious and quick to answer any questions. Only nine of us made it for this weekend, but there is plenty of room for more of our family to join us next time. Once you experience even some of what this place offers, you will want to come back before you have even left!

Idyllic Weekend Getaway - Great Value!

The house is lovely and the setting is pastoral and idyllic. Very quiet and beautiful property with green fields, pond, and hills as far as you can see all around. The house is has many amenities and is very comfortable, 2-zone AC, covered porch with rocking chairs, outside deck with grill and firepit, and a large basement game room with TV, pool table, Foosball, darts, ping pong, corn hole, card table and even an electronic organ. The kitchen was well equipped and stocked. The various family and living rooms are furnished with very comfortable seating. It was the perfect base for an extended weekend with our family to visit delightful Berkeley Springs (15 minutes away) and historic and beautiful Harper's Ferry (1 hour). Also Cacapon State Park is 10 minutes away and has many things to offer the outdoor minded, including a magnificent ridge view where you can see 4 states. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will visit again with family members who couldn't make this trip. Chris and the Berkeley Ridge team were great and made sure everything went smoothly. Don't pass on this property!

Incredible property, couldn't ask for more

We came with a group of 11 and this was probably the best overall experience on a vacation rental site. Check-in/communication was great, every question we could have had was answered before even asking. They even offered to blow up some air mattresses beforehand. I don't typically stay in large properties for rentals, but for the price this house was huge, and had every amenity we could have asked for. Comfortable beds, plenty of space, probably like 5 different spots in and outside where you could comfortably gather as a group of 10+, including the basement which we weren't even factoring in but was incredibly spacious for hanging out/playing pool/ping pong/darts. Good parking, games available, the list goes on. The outside area was huge, and you're actually able to explore (we did a bit of fishing, even) and even if you're just hanging around the house the huge porch/grass combo could facilitate any kind of game or activity or grilling that you could possibly want. Sunsets and sunrise were both incredible out there too. We had plans to go out to the surrounding areas that we nixed at times because it was so comfortable and fun to gather back at the house. Probably the only thing that I'd even bring up was that the nearby roads leading to the property were a little narrow and windy but that kind of comes with staying away from cities. Would highly recommend,

I don't know how things could have been better. Over the years, I have stayed at a number of locations in Berkeley Springs with both friends and family.This property is by far my favorite. I weekended at this lovely home once before but for my companions, this visit was a first. We were all super impressed. The house and the grounds and the views are just lovely.

Aaron and Jennifer with their son had the good fortune to be able to purchase the larger property from a couple that had owned it since the early 1970s. They wanted a place to visit on the weekends away from the city and that they could share with others; family, friends, and even some Boy Scout units that camp on the property. One of their joys is being able to share the experience with others and to be good stewards of the land.

Why they chose this property

This has been our place to relax and regroup since purchasing in 2013. Free from flight paths and big highways, where the sights and sounds of nature abound; complete with black skies that are a star-gazer's delight.

Heart Hill House is a blend of old and new. The small original house has been greatly expanded over the years, reaching a spacious 3200 square footage.
