This VRBO is a hidden gem, located deep in the woods. The road was a bit rough but once you get to the rental it's all worth it. The deck and backyard offer a breathtaking view. The space is beautifully designed inside, and the price is unbeatable. We had a perfect stay for my sisters pre-wedding celebration. THANK YOU!
Our group takes an annual trip to Berkeley Springs and Emerald is, hands down, the best place we have rented. The home is spacious, the kitchen well stocked with any kitchen items needed to prepare dishes, and the beds were amazingly comfortable. The dining table has comfortable, padded chairs which were great since we play a lot of games. Finally, the HOA makes sure to keep the roads clear in inclement weather. We received about six inches of snow the day before we left and the road was cleared within an hour or so of the snow stopping.Emerald’s owners were wonderful to work with. They are very responsive and helpful, from helping our friends with the lock when they arrived ahead of us, to checking on our experience multiple times during our stay to see if we needed anything. I can’t recommend Emerald enough for anyone who wants to visit Berkeley Springs!
We enjoyed our stay at this spacious home. Everything we needed was there to cook all our meals including nice grill on deck. Soaps and shampoos in showers also very nice. Was very nice to come back to air-conditioned home after walking through mountains in 90 degre heat and rain. Wecwill hope to be back next August again.
The layout of the house gave everyone privacy, yet a central meeting place . The kitchen was very well stocked, the best we have come across yet. Loved the decor!
We had such a great stay for our micro wedding! Very nice, open layout. Neutral & modern decor. Great bedrooms. Feels secluded for a nice getaway. Host was very responsive!!
We had a great time! We enjoyed the spacious home with all the necessities we needed. Took a trip to downtown Berkeley Springs and enjoyed the Fairy Festival, window shopping and lunch at the Naked Olive. Too bad it rained - we could not enjoy the firepit! Please be aware that the upstairs front bedroom had bunk beds not one king size bed in it.
Stayed here with my family, and my siblings families and our Mom. It was the PERFECT spot for a family retreat. Games, movie time, dinners, bonding. It was lovely! The host even had a Christmas tree put up for us! It was beyond delightful. Made our holiday gathering super memorable! Would recommend for anyone wanting a place to relax and connect with family or friends!
This property was the perfect place to stay for our family! We loved the design, open floor plan, and multiple living spaces. The deck had comfortable seating and a large table with chairs to accommodate outside dining for all nine of us. Bedrooms were well appointed with soft, clean bedding, and bathrooms were well equipped with soft towels provided. The house is located in a remote area, so please give plenty of time and patience driving the winding back roads to get there. It will be well worth it because the remote location is so peaceful and quiet. A perfect getaway from the busyness of life. Our host was very communicative and gracious. Our family loved the house and the area, and we hope to return someday soon!
We had more than enough room for our group to spread out, and be comfortable! The house is new and beautiful, and very comfortable. The back deck is beautiful for watching nature and relaxing. The check in and check out process was seamless. Matthew contact me prior to the trip to see if he could answer any questions about the area, to better plan our trip, and then contacted me during the stay to make sure everything was going well. Wonderful host and wonderful house!
There was no house number, and the house looked different from the pictures on the web site. It took us over an hour to figure out that it was the correct house.
There were no instructions in the house - usually there are instructions, how to access the TV, what is the process when leaving, clean up etc. There was nothing.
it's called Emerald Ln because this is a gem of a place!
Wow is this house is just amazing. Enormous and has every bell and whistle you could possibly think of for your stay. Matthew and his wife have created an oasis in the woods. Fit with fast wifi and modern clean amenities like a stand up desk and smart tvs. It's a treck for city folk but the gps got us there just fine. We're already planning our return trip for next year. Thank you for a much needed getaway. Book this house it's a stunner and Matthew is the best VRBO host I've ever had! ❤️
This is an amazing, new and clean property with tons of space for a large group! The home has ample space for everyone to be comfortable, all bedrooms have TVs, and one of the bedrooms even had double over double bunk beds. The deck space was amazing as well! There was a heater on the deck which made it more comfortable to use the grill in the colder months. Everyone loved the bird feeders on the deck too so we could watch the birds up close from the dining space. Lastly, the host was one of the most accommodating I’ve ever dealt with- checking on us and quickly answering any questions. The host also makes you feel welcomed by the extras in case you forgot something- shower gel, spices for cooking, extra snacks etc. A lovely property highly recommended for peaceful wooded, family get away.
This property is amazing. Set in the woods with a deck made for cofffee mornings! We rented for a girls bachelorette party. The place is thoughtfully set up with just about anything you need. The drive in is most fun and especially when you havent told your guests about it. It is spacious, the beds are great, thebkings in each room are a great touch. The bedding is comfy. The owner is extremly friendly and responsive. We made dinner in 2 noghts and had everything we needed provided by the owners for us to cook. We went tubing down the river locally and visited the shops in Berkley. We will definitely rent again! Many thanks to the owners for an awesome place.
We had a large group of guys. It was exactly what we were looking for. You entered via a gravel dirt road and sits in the middle of nowhere. We stayed up late on the deck, playing games and loud music without any complaints or issues. Nice deck furniture to grill, eat, lounge and use the gas fire pit. The AC was strong so the temperature was just right. Wifi worked well. We had an issue with the ice maker but the owner was very responsive and even willing to bring us bags of us. We definitely plan on going back and would highly recommend it for a getaway. -Cheers
