Beautiful place for a vacation

This place is okay for a vacation but needs more tidying up. The beds were not well made and bedsheets were wrinkled. The rug in the seating area seemed it hadn't been vacuumed for a while. There was no dish washing soap in the kitchen.

Okay, but will not stay again

First arriving as soon as your walking up to the stairs and up the stairs you get a very overwhelming smell of cat pee. When walking in it looked nice for what we needed it for (just to sleep in) the glasses hadn’t been touch in a while very dusty. The couch needs some serious cleaning. Also the TV was broke which they ended up coming out to fix our last night there. (Which wasn’t a big deal, we barley watch tv as it was) the bathrooms were fine, first room across from the bathroom was clean but the bed was HORRIBLE so we went into master room with the half bathroom in it. Room was clean and the bed was a little better. The back porch door you could see already it the seals were not sealed and look like someone kick it in or tried to break in. Which left me feeling very uneasy at night. Fast forward to the nights, after the first night I was ready to pack up and go and get a hotel or even probably would had slept better and felt safer if I was in my car. But anyways the cats all night fighting each other so loudly and at one time I jumped because it sounded like something else was happening my husband can sleep thru anything but four 4 nights I could NOT sleep. Like I said it was okay for what we needed it for but unfortunately we won’t return. The property manager was nice and easy to communicate with.

Close to everything

Good location to dt and beach. Only complain was the TV had a black part on the right. We chilled at night and watched netflix. This should of been resolved when we were there the first night. Other then that everything was clean and comfy beds:)

Disappointing first stay at VRBO

This was not a good experience for us on our first VRBO. The positive is it is a great location for getting to the beaches and it is in a quiet neighborhood. But the negatives made quite a list. No working TV and knowingly owner was aware there was not one before our rental time. There is a Walmart near by so one should have been bought and installed before we arrived. The place needed some TLC and cleaning. We had to sweep visible dirt from the floors, rug in living room and clean the kitchen counters/dining room table that were smeared when we arrived. Kitchen dish towels were welled used looking, no corkscrew- women need for their wine!!!, several lamps had no light bulbs, the refrigerator rolled at us every time you pulled to open the door and the back door to back porch was sketchy. You can see light all around it and we could not open it. The overall appearance of this rental definitely looked more worn out and less appealing than the photos on the VRBO website. I hope the owner can fine tune the amenities and update with painting to help get more renting from the property and better reviews.

Our Stay

The location of the house was great. It was a 10 minute drive from the beach. We did have a few concerns. Our stay was Wednesday night- Saturday Morning, and the AC was broken Thursday-Saturday. The complex rested at 85 degrees and was uncomfortably hot. We were supposed to check out 11am Saturday, but ended up leaving around 4am because it was so hot we could not sleep. We tried to request a refund for the nights we had with no AC, but the owner kept dodging our request. He kept saying they were getting it fixed over the weekend, but we were checking out anyways. There was also no hot water, and the stove and oven did not work. We also expressed these concerns to the owner and no refund was given to us.
