Quiet, clean and comfortable. It's a perfect location to quickly go anywhere in Door County! We love the area and always find places to eat and explore that are new to us. Great trip!
Great location. Clean, though a strong unpleasant odor upon arrival- which may have been the cleaning solvent used. The bed arrangement worked for our group, but property needs to be listed as a 1 bedroom or put up a wall. None the less we did enjoy our stay.
Great location! Nice walk to downtown Ephraim and the beach. Quiet wooded area with delightful back patio to enjoy morning coffee or evening fire pit. Loft sleeping area includes two bedrooms with ceiling fans and bathroom. Very comfortable! Kitchen nicely furnished complete with counter eating space and table with chairs. Living room seating includes two recliners, sofa and chair for TV watching or enjoying a good book. The host is happy to help with any questions you may have. They are very good about sending a quick response. Thank you for such a memorable visit to Door County!
We gad a quiet and clean stay. The home comfortably fits 5 people (two in two beds and 1 in pull out). As noted in the listing, the beds are in the upstairs loft, so there isn't much privacy throughout the space, but we were able to make it work just fine. The location is a close drive to Sister Bay and having two full bathrooms is a plus! Check-in was easy and host was easy to reach via the app.
Location was perfect! 10-20 minutes to every place we wanted to visit and then able to enjoy the quiet, peaceful backyard at the house. Would highly recommend and will be back again!
nice place to spend a few days
the beds are in a sleeping loft, not separate rooms, no privacy
didn't like the air freshener, that's a personal taste thing tho
We absolutely loved our stay!! The house is a short walk into town! We went swimming at Ephraim Beach, visited the confectionery and other local spots. We even saw a few bald eagles! The house was very clean and perfect for our family!! The kitchen had everything we needed to make snacks and meals!
We went with our daughter and her family. It was so close to everything we wanted but it was so quiet and peaceful. We walked to most places except when going to the Peninsula State Park
This was a lovely little find and I’m so glad we were fortunate to book it over the 4th. It was absolutely the most wonderful escape after long hot days in the fun, but chaotic crazy that is a holiday weekend in Door County. But the quiet location was far from the only highlight - the kitchen seemed very well supplied including plastic dishes and cups for smaller children, there are two bathrooms and two showers making it quick and easy for our group of four to get out the door in the morning, and the central location on the peninsula could not be any better. The neighborhood is safe and easy to walk in the early morning hours while others sleep, and the backyard provides a welcoming sanctuary for a morning cup of coffee or late evening bonfire. Lastly, other than a few bugs inside (which is to be expected in the woods), the home is very clean. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we were in need of accommodations for my husband and I, plus our adult son and his soon to be wife.
The house overall was nice. There are no actual bedrooms so staying here with our children was interesting. Everyone had to get to bed at the same time. The worst part of the house was the smell. If you are sensitive to smells, this is not the house for you. The listing says no smoking but the house had a strong cigarette smoke smell. The first night it rained and the smell was over powering. Honestly, I started looking for hotels to stay in instead. The second night we opened the windows and let it air out for a while and it was better. I would not have booked this place if I had known it had previously been smoked in.
We had four adults staying at the property and it worked well for our situation. Everyone went to bed at the same time so not an issue that the two queen beds are just in a loft and no individual bedrooms. Great location and would be a short walk to the beach! We did have a small issue with ants and contacted the owners who were very responsive and had the situation taken care of the next day. Property was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and dishes.
Great house, cute area. Lofted bedrooms have no doors or partition between sleeping areas so if you are traveling with another couple, as we were, there wasn’t a lot of privacy.
The house was clean and well maintained, and the kitchen was furnished very well. The neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located in Ephraim, just a block or two from the water and main highway. My questions were promptly answered and we had no problems during our stay. This house worked great for us and we will go back again.
Overall, the house was perfect. The two negatives were there was a smoke smell inside, and the garbage had not been empty inside.Positives were I appreciated that the owners provided extra toliet paper, tissues, and hand soap. This has not always been the case.I do have a couple of suggestions. It would be nice to have a mirror in one or both of the loft bedrooms. It wouldn't need to be a fancy mirror, but it would have been nice to have a miirror for one of us to use while the other used the bathroom to do their hair and makeup.A light above the staircase would be helpful. Or even motion lights up the stairs Neither suggestions would cost much, but would have added to the expirience.
What a great house to explore Door County.Less than 20 mins to the "Lake" side of Baileys Harbor and all of the "Bay" side towns of Egg Harbor, Ephraim, & Sister Bay.The house was super to be in, nice back patio for coffee and critter watching, with deer, rabbits, & squirrels. The kitchen was fully ready to use, and the beds were great to catch a good nights sleep...
Modern and very clean house that was well supplied. Very nice kitchen, WIFI, 2 car garage. Quiet area close to town, beach and Peninsula Park. The bedrooms are loft style so not a lot of privacy but the beds were very comfortable. Hosts were very responsive to questions and needs. We had a great stay!
Checking was easy and host was very communicative and helpful. The kitchen was spacious, modern and well equipped with utensils, serve ware and cookware. I was grateful they even supplied Kleenex, paper towels and coffee filters! Great internet there. Window AC and large ceiling fans kept the whole space comfortable. Quiet and cozy all around with good access to all bay destinations!
My Husband and I rode our motorcycles from Montana. Met up with my mother in law and her sister. Loved the quiet neighborhood and the house was perfect for our needs . Short walk to the beach and shops . First time in Door County, can’t wait to come back !!
