Santa Cruz drew me in with its world-class surfing, mountain biking, vibrant live music scene, and the beauty of the beach and redwoods. I spent 15 wonderful years living in a beach rental, but eventually, I craved a more rural lifestyle. That led me to Bonny Doon, just 15 minutes away in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where I settled on some acreage with my family.
