About this property

Lovely 3 bed 2 bath old fashioned house with coffee bar

Please read all. Quiet, peaceful, safe, family friendly neighborhood, just outside city limits. Large side and backyard, front porch, coffee bar, multiple types of coffee, tea, and sweeteners. Lots of kitchenware and complimentary bathroom items.
No smoking inside the house, and no parties. My focus used to be on the “other” platform because I had far more bookings, but I have found that guests on that platform are expecting near perfection and complain about anything they can. I’m switching my focus to VRBO because guests here have had far more realistic expectations, have been far better guests overall, and I am very thankful for this. I look forward to hosting more with VRBO 🙂

Accommodating Stay

The house is very spacious, a bit dated and some dry rotted wood floors. The carpet has a stain in the master bedroom. There was a very cozy feeling to the house overall, beautiful veranda and a gracious host. Very responsive host and accommodated a last minute need. The shower was the greatest!!! Large dining room and table to enjoy meals.

My needed a place to stay in Shreveport, because my oldest grandson wanted to visit the sci-port museum and it was an invite from his homeschool base school (University)The house is pretty much in need of major major work.

Vacation with the granddaughters

Very quiet neighborhood & house was very comfortable. Excellent communication with Brandon!! House was clean & ready for us a little early which was great. The teenage granddaughters loved it & we all had a blast. Will definitely stay there again.

Misleading

The floor felt like you would fall thru in numerous spots. There were cockroaches, spiders. It was not clean, the sheets smelled. I have been in numerous VRBO, this is by far the worst I have ever stayed in. I am now concerned about any future bookings. I hope this does not start to be the trend. You should investigate this place. I have plenty of pictures if you would like.

The house is awesome. Quiet neighborhood, clean house, super friendly housekeeper and her husband. Would have liked quicker response frim owner ofbox code and wifi password but housekeeper was there to help. You have no service on your phone sitting i. Driveway. I was there to have surgery the next day so housekeeper was my lifesaver and she calmed me down. She showed me the weak spots in kitchen floor and I still accidently steped in it making 1 board pop up. Beds were like sleeping in a cloud. I would love to know what kind of mattresses th3wete.Would definitely stay here again. Coffe bar was grest, tgey have soap and shampoo in bathroom and a toothbrush if you forgot yours. The only thing I needed was a slip proof mat for tub and a fan to sleep with. Dollar General was close to where we went to eat that night. Thumbs up to everyone.

It was old and that’s what they said. I’ve stayed in old houses but they were remodel and everything was in good condition. But this place had sub-floor problems. The linoleum in many places was the only thing holding us up. We check the mattresses by pulling off all of the covers and the were soiled and dirty. Carpet was dirty. We left and went to find a hotel. In a text to us he told us not to lean or sit on the railing of front porch. We saw why. They were rotten. This house should not be listed on under Vrbo.

Will Stay Again

We have family in the area, so we need to find a rental in a safe area to stay during visits. This older home was perfect for our needs. If you are expecting modern and hotel like accommodations- this isnt for you. If you want a homey atmosphere with the basics available in a safe area, then this is perfect. I could have cooked a full meal but wasnt necessary for our stay. The coffee bar and calmness of the front porch in the morning was our favorite. While the following did not effect our experience, i could imagine other renters would prefer to have more toiletries available (body wash, conditioner, etc), additional living room seating, and some written instructions for the TV (how to link phones and/or what apps are available, etc). It was very clean and well kept. Felt like I was my Nanny's house - we will book again. Thank you.

Older home in great neighborhood

My friend and I stayed for two nights. There are other reviews complaining about the sub flooring in the house and they are correct. There are soft spots in the floor but it’s still better and cheaper than a hotel. My friend and I both have mobility issues and the front porch could use a rail to help with entering the house. I would still stay here again over a hotel. The coffee bar was spot on.

Place has no lake view

Pictures are deceiving! The place wasnt that bad but the pictures made it look alot better than it actually was! The floor was super soft on some spots and the porch was old and soft spots all through out! It made you think at times you would fall through! You have absolutely no view of the lake the only view you have is of the trailer next door that has seen its better days!! I would NOT recommend this property.

booked for three nights due to a family emergency then the races being canceled( which was why we rented the house) we only went for one night, so we werent there very long. so didn't have any issues with anything. beds were extremely comfortable property is just as described. would stay there again.
